Good points about the audio process for pbp guys in The Show. One thing I like about Gary Thorne, he always has a few nuggets of relevant info about the opposing player (team) during the progression of the game.

The game hasn't even been released yet. So how you y'all what Harold sound like in the game. I know I gonna enjoy the game regardless how someone sounds. Fans ask for new change and gets it but it's not enough. Come on peeps it's a video game.

my issue with matt has nothing to do with what he says or how he says it - i'd grade him a solid b or b+ overall - my issue with him is that he just doesn't sound very good. in my day announcers were expected to have "pipes," a "voice for radio." matt just sounds like some dude. i have the exact same beef with mario impemba calling my tigers games on fox. guess it's the price i pay growing up with ernie harwell, paul carey, george kell & harry caray.
