The Return Of The HR Celebration Cam?

So I've played a handful of games and it looks like the dreaded HR celebration cam on no doubters is back full time.
Ive counted about 8 or so without the pull back cam.
Is this a thing this year?
Was is like this last year?
    is it a glitch?
    An oversight?
Or is it for some reason implemented improperly into a game on broadcast presentation?
It really takes away the fun and drama of a bomb.

    I like it this year.

I like how they did all the hr's.

There are some the ball carries and carries and carries and you dont know if it will go out or not until it does.

For the for sure HR's, I like the cinematic scene they have. It makes the HR seem more important.

Re: The Return Of The HR Celebration Cam?

I don't like it either, and it seems to occur even more often this year.

For one, it ruins the suspense of the ball going out or not. Secondly, it's nothing like how a home run is shown in an actual real life broadcast. Third, you can't even see where the ball lands most of the time.

Don't count on the on/off option ever being brought back. 2013 was the last game with that option and the devs have not said one word about this despite requests on bringing it back, every year since.

I really dislike how they show the manager's face after every single homerun. Why not mix it up and show other players in the dugout celebrating or just focus more on the guy who actually hit the HR? A lot of real-life managers really don't show a whole lot of emotion to being with lol.

What is especially annoying about this whole development is not that they included a feature that many people don't seem to want, but the fact they removed an option to turn it off that was previously there, pointing to the possibility that there may be reasons behind the decision on the part of someone, somewhere in the chain that deviate from necessity or functionality considerations.

I don't see the option coming back any time soon, if ever.

You are probably just having some bad luck, as I've seen the pull back on plenty of big shots.

It's about the same as it's been the past couple of years IMO, but (and this is based purely on casual observation and NO testing) I feel I saw the Celebration Cam more with the Retro fielding cam than I am now that I switched back to Broadcast view.

I do wish they'd restore the option though.

Re: The Return Of The HR Celebration Cam?

I personally love it. Nothing like the signature home run animation after a no doubter. I personally hope they never take it out because then what incentive do they have to continue to do signature HR animations for each player. Then we are back in the old days where every player has the same 3 no doubter HR swings. But hey, why not include the option to turn off for those who don't like

Same here. After 40 something (I am now losing count) franchise games I would say my ratio has been 60/40 HR cam to pull back.

I believe the same 70/30 logic of pull back to HR cam is still under the hood.

And I fully agree about the removal of the toggle to turn it off.

Really wish we could still just shut it off if we wanted too.

To be honest I don't mind the HR camera. I have seen some beautiful majestic shots from the dish but the pull back camera on no doubters is pure baseball bliss.
