I'm using directional. But it doesn't really matter because If I was using zone I am sure I would still hit more with Gardner than with everybody else. There is something up with Gardner regardless of the batting interface I am using.

yeah I wondered if you were using zone, I could see 20+ homers, but not on directional.
its definitely his power attribute is too high. I think more than a few test sims will reveal him to have 20+ hr seasons. his power numbers should be in the 30s not the 50s

dont know about Gardner, but Dee Gordons speed is over powered. He went 3 for 3 on 3 ground balls to the short stop. I mean hes fast in real life, but a routine ground ball is a routine ground ball. This dude is like usain bolt or something in this game.

Edwin Encarcion is 91/99 Pwr...he hit 42 homeruns last year. However he's old so he's already regressed to 98 power in my season. 9 homeruns and still a week left of April.

Re: Brett Gardner's Power is overrated in this game. Is anyone else...

So I went back through every box score of the 65 Total games I have played in my Yankees season to check how many times a hitter with power in the 40's or 50's hit a homerun against me. (Playing on Hall of fame difficulty)

These are the results:
(Number to the left is power vs lefties and to the right vs righties.)

Tampa bay:
Duffy 42/43
Kiermaier 2 43/54
Rickie weeks (Hit one against Righty) 46 Pwr vs R

White sox:
Melky Cabrera 2 46/48
Lawrie 61/56
Avisail Garcia 57/49
Tim Anderson 42/45
Cody Asche 48/50

Pirates:
John Jaso 46/51

Orioles:
Seth Smith 48/59
Chris Johnson 48/41

Blue Jays:
Devon Travis 50/52

Astros:
Gurriel 2 59/54
Bregman 59/54
Gonzalez 55/50

Red sox:
Benintendi 2 41/54

Angels:
Maldonado 56/49

Athletics:
Rajai Davis 3 CF 54/42
Healy (Hit vs Righty) 56 pwr vs Rhp
De Aza 36/48

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
26 total homeruns vs batters with power in the 40's or 50's,
and I have allowed 80 homeruns.

So that means 54 homeruns have been by hitters with power of 60 or higher.

I completely agree with you. He should be in the 30's or even lower.

I am thinking about re-doing all the power ratings.

Didn't Gardner hit 17 bombs in one season before? 50+ may be a bit on the generous side for him, but I've seen worse. For example...

^This right here! I knew something was fishy immediately after simming franchise season for the first time and saw he hit over 40 bombs.
