I hope they resolve what that is someday. I can partly name some of them, but I don't have solutions in programming language to address them directly.
What is the cheat in this case? 9-3 is an exceedingly rare event in real life. I'd be very disappointed if it were a routine event in the game. First basemen are not taught to, in general, to cover first base on a ball hit to the outfield. It sounds like some have been able to get this play completed under some circumstances but if it were to be routine or even more frequent than that I would think it would start to ruin the experience.

Yeah. I am glad I can't do this. Used to be an issue to be able to pull this off more times than one should.

You missed what I meant. My point is that the reason right fielders don't throw to first in real life is because there is not enough time for that play.

In this game, there is. In some part, it's a combination of the RF positioned too close in, too close to the line, has the ability to sprint in at fast liners hit at them, and the grass friction may be too far off (ball travels too quickly on it). Those kinds of things would have to be addressed for it to not be an issue.

I don't want more throw-outs to first base. I just don't want there to be a cheat as if to say that the overarching problem is now "solved."

I have done this a few times in ranked season games.

The ball moving too fast on the grass is the problem (along with the RF being too close, but that is slight compared to ball speed). The ball never slows down it maintains the same speed from start to finish which is impossible. It keeps runners from scoring from second or going first to third. Its pretty maddening and at this point in time with the technology we have, unacceptable.

Re: 9-3 putout?

Have done it and had it done to me. The only way for it to work is your second baseman has to make a play on the ball, often diving for the 1B to cover the bag. In this case you can throw to the first base bag with the 1B covering the bag.

Re: 9-3 putout?

Saw it 3 times online in the first week of 17. First patch looked like it eliminated those 100mph groundballs that slow to 99mph when it reaches the OF (or wall). Also, 1B don't seem to hold the bag on singles to RF anymore. 1st patch may have did that too.
