It's my understanding that you have to have CPU Roster Control set to ON for your franchise when you first set it up to allow for exporting a player. -

Did that fix it, because I'm not seeing it still. My understanding was that not an option on franchise

Ok, ya I never knew you could export. Why would somebody need to export a player. What's the use for that?

you can get players for historical rosters closer to their real service time by simming seasonsOk, ya I never knew you could export. Why would somebody need to export a player. What's the use for that?

and since roster files dont have carryover saves, there are sme roster makers that export all the players from carryover franchises into a new roster so they can upload it to the vault so other people can use them too. it saves time by not having to recreate every player from scratch each yearOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: Exporting players in franchise mode
Just to piggy-back on this thread, I'm curious if anyone has a little step-by-step method for getting players into 18 from 17, if possible.
One of the guys who made CAPs around here before was nice enough to make a face on a player for me and I could edit that, but I'm not sure how I can get that player transferred from 17 into 18 to add to the new rosters before starting a franchise.
I've been messing around without much luck. I can continue my 17 franchise in 18, but I have no way to get the player from there and into someplace that I could start a new franchise with the MLB 18 roster and player models (Can't play for the Brewers and not have the real looking Eric Thames).Comment

Go back to 17 & start a dummy franchise (no need to play any games, in fact you can do this from spring training). Anyways, when you start this dummy franchise be sure to turn CPU Roster Control ON. My guess is this is why you weren't able to export from your carryover.Just to piggy-back on this thread, I'm curious if anyone has a little step-by-step method for getting players into 18 from 17, if possible.

This dummy franchise, you will then carryover to 18 & exportLast edited by Caulfield; 05-29-2018, 03:04 PM.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23
