Have You Played An Entire Season?

So I am 15 games away from completing an entire regular season. I have purchased a baseball game every year for a decade, but have never played enough to accomplish this.

I am from Atlanta, so the Braves are my team. I started about a month into the season and used rosters that included all the rookies coming up, but I kept players like Acuña and Camargo in the minors until the actual date the Braves called them up. I also adjusted my batting order and positioning based on the lineup the Braves actually we’re using at the time. The trade deadline was something to look forward to as ATL made 4 or 5 small deals that kept things interesting.

6 games under .500 at one point early in the season, I now have a 2.5 game lead on the division and am stoked for playoff baseball.

Who else has played 162?

I have completed two full seasons of playing all 162 and am in July of my 3rd. I will have it completed by the time '19 hits the shelf.

Completed mult-seasons this year albeit with different teams i.e. white sox mariners orioles. One was with qc on, another was play 1 and sim 2, another was play every pitch and at bat.

Im in spring training of my 3rd season. Each season I up the difficulty so this should be pretty interesting.

My OCD about having the most up to date rosters prevents me from even coming close to achieving this...I'm lucky to get 2 months in.

I made it a few seasons in to a Brewers franchise on '11 when I skipped a year on buying the next game but haven't gotten close since.

I buy The Show every year so right about the time I settle into a roster and slider set I love I can usually get through one season of every pitch with my squad. I also like to do 30 team control, and overview every game played and do minor tweaks that I deem “realistic.” Time consuming, but so addicting when I get to late July and look back on the world I’ve built! Unfortunately, I’ve never completed a full offseason in any Show..

On MLB 16 every inning every pitch of The Matheny Manifesto (fantasy Cardinals franchise) Year 1, The Quest For Donny Baseball Year 2.

On MLB 17 every inning and every pitch of the 2017 Yankees and Year 2 of the Matheny Manifesto

On MLB 18 every inning and every pitch Year 2 of the 2017 Yankees.

Currently I am playing Year 3 of The Matheny Manifesto all 162 again and will also resume year 3 of The Quest For Donny Baseball all 162 again.


With carry over franchises it was a no brainer for me to do this. No pressure to finish. It is highly satisfying to know I am responsible for all my statistics and the outcome of every single game.

With carryovers it's pretty easy for me. I'm in season 8 of my franchise I started on The Show 14. I play every inning/pitch. I usually get a season/season and a half in each release. I'm so invested in my team I'd probably quit buying the game if they ever take out carryover saves.

I’m this way as well. Every update, I screen shot the adjustments and edited the players (on my team) i ln my franchise.
