HDR on or Off?

I have a Samsung KS8000 and when turning on HDR mode everything gets noticeably darker.

just did the same thing, turned HDR off, put the TV on game mode, things got dark then I hit the "live football" option on Sony TV and it brightened things up a bit. Gonna play a game and see how it works out.

Now that I’ve played a few innings and let me eyes adjust, HDR looks how it should.

Playing on a Samsung Q8FN and it looks wonderful just like it did in 18.

What do I lose by not using HDR, I like HDR off, game mode on and live football option on for brightness. I have a Sony TV btw.

To me with HDR on the game looks more photo realistic, with it if the colors are more vibrant and the game really pops, what I guys think? 🤷🏻*♂️

Try turning on contrast enhancer.
