Hi All,
I'm a newcomer to MLBtS. Traditionally, Madden has been my go to sports game, but I think MLB has taken place of that. I'm really enjoying this game!
I started off playing some exhibition games, and started playing DD (mainly conquest and moments). I got to where I felt comfortable, so I decided to try some online play in ranked and casual. I did fairly well to start. I went 4-1 in my first 5 games of ranked play.
Now, I'm starting to face some tougher competition in ranked. I seem to have trouble scoring runs. I'm losing games 1-0, 3-2, etc. My pitching seems to be fine.
I use the PCI with Strike Zone as my camera. I seem to have trouble picking up the pitch sometimes and I swing at a lot of junk. I've noticed a lot of online players in ranked typically aim for the lower part of the zone. Recently I've been moving my PCI down in the zone before the pitch and just look for a pitch that I can hit. If the pitch is anywhere else in the zone, I'm hosed. I've tried moving the PCI during the pitch, but with having trouble picking up where the pitch is going, it's usually not a good option for me.
Does anyone have any tips for this newbie?

Try staring at the pitcher's arm and use your peripheral vision to locate the ball and keep your PCI in the middle of the zone. Try not to lower it before the pitch. If you want to do that, then activate Guess Pitch in settings.
