The moments idea was a great concept, but the experience sucked. The commentary and atmosphere did not correspond with the situation and the surrounding players and uniforms were from the present day (I'd prefer generic players if licensing were an issue). This mode could be great if they took a page from NBA 2k
When playing divisional games, I'd like to see combined stats for a player vs that opponent for the season as a player comes to the plate. That way I can see just how bad Mike Trout or Jose Altuve (cheating bastard) have wore me out.
commentary upgrade.
I know the article mentioned NBA 2k20 as an example, but Id be happy with commentary, play by play, and atmoshphere like the way it was done In MLB2k12 and 13.
Audio. Audio. Audio.* *Whether it's the crowd, commentators or other effects.* Audio should have been the NUMBER ONE item on this list.*
To add to that, it would be cool to see them get a license for all 30 team PBP announcers' HR calls, and please LEAVE THEM OFF THE MARKETPLACE. So, if you're playing as or against Milwaukee and the Brewers hit a late, clutch home run at Miller Park, Matty V will yell out "Get Up, Get Up, Get Out Of Here, GONE!!!!"
Maybe a second announcing crew with some guys like Brian Anderson, Kevin Burkhardt, Uecker (long shot), Ernie Johnson, or (dont kill me) Joe Buck would be really cool.
Quick cuts into the booth would be cool too, and Heidi Watney needs A LOT more lines.
Other than that we need a lot more stat overlays, more kept stats in general, and like some else said, animations for specific injuries.
Also, to add to the hype and importance of playoff games, maybe more stadium shots pre-game and crazy fans outside the stadium or in the concourse area?

Realistically though, the on-field presentation and overall product is really good, but franchise-specific presentation and features need to be the focus this year.
I'd love to see equipment options like in NBA 2K, where you can choose the frequency a player wears a certain piece of equipment. For example, you can set it so a player always wears high socks, or you can change it to frequently so every once in a while they'll wear low socks.
IMG_1878.jpg 10 strikeouts this game and 10 pitcher twirly-dwirly animations. Dont just reduce this animation, remove it! Along with many others that reduce immersion. But then they couldnt brag about number of animations so...idk
I agree that some additions are needed to "create" or "edit" a player in the hairstyles section, namely:
Old fashioned waxed mustache
Hair parted in the middle but still short
More "traditional" or "common" hairstyles. The game includes a lot of exotic hair styles, but these are of little value when trying to recreate an historical player.
