HDR on the Show

Why is it that HDR makes only this game worse not better? The performance and color is just better for some reason when I turn it off for the show....... I have a Vizio P55 and it’s a beast of a TV so I tend to believe it’s just something with this game....... even the FPS seem better with it off....... what’s you guys thoughts?

I agree, this is the one game that I own that in my opinion looks better with HDR disabled.

Ya pretty strange, anyone that isn’t at least trying it with HDR off is doing themselves a disservice as it almost feels like a new game to me right now lol

Yeah I found this too. I’ve tried it on a couple different TVs and it’s still washed out on HDR. Every other game I have looks fantastic so I don’t know why but it’s something with this game.

It was the same last year,and the frame rate is also worse this year.I play on a PS4 pro on a Samsung 4k.

Turning HDR OFF and playing on faster has helped me tremendously

Agree 100% - NBA2K in 4K looks good on my TV, totally opposite of MLB

HDR on looks a lot better for me. Samsung 9800 series.
I do have resolution set to balanced in game. The PS4 pro can't push enough frames in 4K.

Yeah it’s weird, Call Of Duty and Tomb Raider look glorious with HDR on but for The Show it looks better when turned off. I have the LG C7 OLED.

I have one of the best TV's for HDR and the game looks like crap on it this year. I turned it off.

I don't have this year's version yet. Is the "faster" mode that you speak of a setting on your TV or is that a setting in The Show?

It’s a audio video setting on the game..... it was there on last years game as well

Don’t ask me why because I am no expert on hdr but when I first turned it on it totally looked washed out but for some reason I left it on and all of the sudden it just like kicked in and now it looks better than with it off . No idea what happened but I like it now .
