Return of MLB2K's gesture-based pitching perhaps?

Loved that mechanic if Iโ€™m honest. Felt like more room for error and gave me a challenge

Totally miss gesture pitching from 2k. Hope that's what it is.

Complete fielding overhaul and new franchise tools are extremely intriguing to me. While I think the fielding has improved over the course of time, the outfield play, especially dives and jumps and playing the ball near the wall all need re-working/re-written/re-animated or new animations added.

Obviously Y2Y saves is a big blow, at least to me, but depending on what the new franchise tools, and improvements to franchise as whole, turn out to be, will likely determine if I make the jump this year or wait a year to move to the next consoles of games.

Very curious to see what the differences are feature wise between the next gen and current gen versions of the game.

In the article, it says, โ€œThe studio also teased the ability to play cross-gen. The potential for Sony users to square off against Microsoft owners will certainly pique the interest of the community. Of course, this perhaps also just means PS4 players going against PS5 players โ€” and the same goes for Microsoft.โ€

In the FAQ on The Show website it says, โ€œonline cross-play is available across platforms (PS5 to Xbox Series X & PS4 to Xbox One) as well as within console ecosystems (PS5/PS4 and Xbox Series X/Xbox One)โ€

So there will definitely be cross play, but the way itโ€™s worded looks like PS4 canโ€™t play with Series X and Xbox One canโ€™t play with PS5.

I'm really hoping some of the new tools are more sliders for franchise mode. Imagine the possibilities if they open up sliders like 2k.

Honestly, Y2Y saves was a huge draw for me. I have a RttS player that is from '14. I really hope they are able to figure that out because it will basically be Call of Duty - a yearly release that will always be a one off.

Did they specifically say no year to year saves? Or is it something that just wasn't mentioned?
