I see the PETCO batters eye and Oracle Park Coke Bottle in two of the screenshots. I wonder if we can take pieces from current parks and add them into our created one?

Not impressed at all! Was expecting the video to highlight improvements in lighting and animation. But all we got was Fernando Tati's shots!? Say What!

Yeah shocking they didn’t cover that in the 15 seconds of video we seen, crazy.

You’ll probably see more details in the “next gen” stream where that stuff has a place.

Like everyone else, I'd love to see way more videos and screenshots of the next gen version, but that will eventually come, so no big deal for me.

Also, I'm not expecting a huge graphical jump on this year's game for PS5. I think the biggest upgrade will be its performance.

That being said, The previous MLB game on PS4 looked pretty damn good IMO. It was just overdue for improved animations and framerate.

It should sell quite well on the xbox. They sure won't complain about graphics considering the alternatives. And SD Studio knows this.

its in the eyes. the eyes show no reflection or what folks in the photo/film/tv industry call catchlight.

You’ll probably see more details in the “next gen” stream where that stuff has a place.

I feel like there are plenty of next gen game trailers or announcement videos for next gen games that showcase technical achievements with in 15 seconds. Even from this trailer things like the uniforms and dugout interactions look lifeless. I am sure this will remain the same until the next version of the game :/

I have never been impressed with early screen shots. Get disappointed at screens taken off a youtube channel, game comes out and a real improvement.

They're still tethered to the last gen and it limits everything. PS4 with fresher lighting, textures, and frame rate.


I still see that hideous default running animation from way back in 07 era. I get it. You can't just dump everything when you've really only got one year to make a game. But. I don't know. I thought they'd had enough resources to split a team off. Start fresh and create game that doesn't move and seem so robotic.

I've noticed that as well. This is beta footage so everything will be improved once the game is finalized.

Lmao, at least now I know I'll skip this year.

Looks more like a next gen patch than a game that was developed for next gen.  And the ps4 holding it back argument doesn't make sense.  Focus on next gen and make old gen updates minimal...all sport games have done that for decades now.  Expect every single other sports game to blow MLB 21 out of the water graphics-wise.

For me its how dull the colors are....

Yes I hate their grass but the dullness makes it look like a ps3 palette
