Read a couple of comments lately about whether or not the ps5 version will contain SotS, due to Xbox apparently not being able to use it.

Would SDS really rip out a much loved feature from those who CAN have it (PS4/PS5) just because owners of the other platform can’t?

I’d be devastated if they did but it’d be baffling as it’d be another area along with y2y saves where the next gen game has gone backwards.

Does anyone believe they will remove it...seemingly for the sake of it from playstation owners perspective?

I don't know how accurate this is, but that is one of the rumors that i saw floating out there as the reason the year to year saves wasn't in this year because it wasn't on xbox in previous years so they cant have the year to year saves this year. SDS is required by MLB to make sure both xbox and PS games have the same exact features. Again, i dont know how accurate that is, just something i saw previously.

So if that is true then im guessing Sounds of the show wouldn't be in if it is not allowed on xbox.

No one knows. Just more speculation. Id personally bet it’s still there.

If anyone still has access to the Tech Test, go to Audio/Video settings in-game. If I remember correctly, I don't think the Sounds of the Show volume slider was present.

I was worried when I noticed it missing but wasn't sure it meant anything because it wasn't the full game. I also don't remember if it was missing from the tech test last year or not.

I'm very anxious to see if they removed this wonderful feature when I get my hands on the full game Thursday at 11pm CST.

I hope I'm worried about nothing lol.....

Sounds of the Show used to make the immersion sooooo nice. Real life walk out music, between inning music, home run sounds, etc.

For the realism crowd like me, this would be a tough loss.

It’d be a massive kick in the teeth....the default music is generally awful.

The fact there seems to be so many unanswered questions around a game that releases within a week isn’t a good sign.

Yup I’ve asked this a few times and my fear is it’s gone.. if so that is a huge reason to stick with 20.
It’s also the dev team recent style to rip something out and not say anything. Honestly I don’t understand how EA is absolutely roasted on this forum yet this team gets a pass.

All options removed over the past few years:

Homerun camera
Foul ball camera
Real time presentation
Season mode
Online franchise
Y2y saves
Sounds of the show?

Considering you can use SotS on PS5 with the '20 PS4 version of the game, I can't imagine they wouldn't have for next-gen platforms. If it is because of Xbox, that would be such a shame.

That would be the reason. They probably require feature parity on both consoles.

It would be nice to have this answered. I've been questioning it as well. If Sony was forced to remove it by MLB due to Xbox that would be a real shame. And might also be why they are staying quiet. I don't think they'd want to announce it being gone knowing the backlash and they can't place blame on MLB. MLB already forced them to make it for Xbox and allow it on Gamepass day one.

Hopefully it is there since they found out just how important the feature is to us when they removed it for one year when it first jumped to PS4. But the lack of answers is definitely concerning.

A simple answer from our friends at Sony would allow this to be put to rest.

Tbh i be heart broken if there no sounds of the show for xbox. I been doing sounds of the show every year since it came on the scene. Now the only way i be happy is if for next gen since there more power they added the real stadium sounds. But still it was nice to have the player music playing.
