same, this actually has more impact to me personally than losing year to year saves. No sounds of the show kills the immersion, it is/was such a fantastic feature
I know Sony made an exception for SDS to implement using music from a thumbdrive for The Show, I'm not sure why Microsoft couldn't do the same thing for Xbox.
They are probably keeping quiet about this because they don't want to lose sales if in fact they had to take it out. I hate saying it but we've seen the trend the past few years where they don't tell us about something that was removed, only for us to find out ourselves when we get the game that something is gone. I hadn't really thought about SOTS being removed until seeing this thread and honestly I'm really nervous it's not in now just basing it off the track record the past few years. I feel like it's such a simple question to answer yes or no and there's no response. With social media and these Q&A videos they do, I just don't see how they haven't provided an answer.
I personally think I would drop my pre-order and buy it on sale later if they indeed took it out. 70+ dollars is too much to spend to have a big feature like SOTS removed when it's not a memory or adding music to the system limitation. I just don't know that for me it's worth the trade off for a ballpark creator (looks great btw), the new pitching mechanic that I'm undecided on using, the wondering if the upgrades they did to logic will be without large bugs off the hop, and no real noticeable graphical upgrades. Let's be honest, with logic changes it's only normal we are their guinea pigs to find issues like all years, but especially with this year where they probably couldn't bring anyone into the studio to test the game. It truly could be 2 or 3 patches down the line where things really get ironed out and that could take 2 months. Hopefully I'm wrong on that though.

So essentially this sounds like PS4 stays the same and on PS5 they are weasiling their way to say it's not removed, but you are only able to set the music that comes with the game in the slots that have always been available. We've always had that setup they describe.....Wow this is a big blow if I'm thinking correctly.

Sort of sounds to me like the PS5 may have SOTS, but limited. Not sure where it says it has to be music that comes with the game.

I know it doesn't say only the music that comes with the game, but when they say all other consoles it seems to me like they are inferring PS5 and XBOX just have the slots. What they listed for slots is exactly what we've always had for player if I'm not mistaken. I just feel like if XBOX had any part of SOTS music importing they would have made it largely known because XBOX doesn't have the ability PS5 does with music. That's why I inferred it that next gen consoles don't have SOTS as we know it. Limited yes, but I think limited to their music and not ours.
I definitely understand how you are taking that though after reading it a few more times. I think I'm just looking at the bad side. I really hope you are right and I'm wrong. Batter music would be better than nothing.
I highly doubt they would remove SOTS from the game just because Xbox created has an inferior system. The developers aren’t idiots.
The good thing is I’ll find out by Thursday if they really did something that dumb. If they did I’ll just wait until next year to get the game. I won’t waste my money on a product that’s a step down.

I fear you're correct. The fact Sony isn't out in front of this and giving us a clear answer speaks volumes. I blame them for the lack of info, but if it is gone I blame MLB for forcing their hand on including a Xbox version.
That’s exactly why I think they mentioned it the way they did. For some odd reason they removed stadium music but left in walk-ups. That would still suck but it’s not the end of the world if that’s what they did.
All I know is I’ll be saving $75 dollars if I’m wrong. I can use MLB 20 with updates rosters for another year and be content until they fix their mistake.
