And to those who say it is PS3 level of textures. You are not wrong https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jX9mHQDbVXE

Hopefully next year we see the next gen leap.

That PS3 video you linked is a 4k PC mod of the game being ran on an emulator. Nice try though.

I'm not saying the grass is immaculate in the PS5 version of this game (not that I really care, I'm not looking at the grass), but you're putting forth an inaccurate argument when you're posting modded videos.

It's not modding anything, just emulating. The textures are still whatever was developed originally. I can post other PS3 era videos demonstrating the same thing.
Here we can see the EXACT same textures on PS3 that were carried over to PS4 and now PS5 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPZ74yBkwco&t=250s

Compare the grass from those videos to the grass here and tell me what upgrades they can make in MLB the Show:

I'm very interested in your responses.

Also, I'm sorry about the modding comment. I didn't realize that MLB 09 rendered in 4k/60 on PS3. My bad.

You can't even see that level of detail on MLB broadcasts though....

Fifa 21 is a good example of higher resolution texturing even at the zoomed out distances of real gameplay. Not that i think fifa is good in actual gameplay, but they at least get the play field looking stellar.

Re: Grass on the PS5

It does appear odd at times, but I actually think the dirt color is the worst depending on where you play. I mean sometimes the mound looks like gravel....
