Yes it will.

Normal swing is what you should be using most of the time. Contact is in now way what you should be using most of the time.

Contact is a shortened up swing to make contact in tough counts and to move runners.

Sometimes you can hit HR’s with the contact swing. But you should not be using that swing expecting typical power numbers from guys like Gallo. That is why they tuned it. It was bugged on 21.

Is it me sucking or since the last patch it seems harder to hit. I’m not scoring a lot of runs or getting extra base hits i am on all star difficulty

No issues for me on hitting, and I use Allstar+

It's not you. I've played this game a ton this year. The last patch didn't necessarily make hitting harder, it made the pitch speeds a tick faster. Before on legend I had pitch speed at 6 and was hitting fine. After the last patch my hitting has plummeted. Either the pitch speed is a tick faster or the cpu pitchers are more adept at nibbling at corners. Either way, yes, it's causing hitting to become harder. No question.

I don't believe they touched pitch speeds though. Nothing in those notes signifies that they did.

Zero difference in pitch speeds. Honestly the game plays exactly the same post patch as it did before.
