Ohtani 2 way player not working

I've tried in exhibition and franchise but when I select Ohtani to pitch, he is not an option to DH in the lineup. Am I doing something wrong, I thought this was fixed for 22?

Here is where people I think are being confused.

The stamina for Ohtani has been fixed. So he can hit, and pitch, and still have realistic stamina to do BOTH.

So from a franchise perspective it is fixed.

BUT I think on a single game, it still is not possible to have him hit & pitch.

But it’s not. I played Opening Day with him as SP, and when I went to put him as DH the next game, his stamina/energy was low.

They said that when you DH him, he will regain pitching stamina. So it'll still be low the game after he pitches but he will regain stamina like any other pitcher.

That’s probably by design, as irl I think they give him days off between Starts on the mound and DHing as a hitter

They did the first few years, but last year they would use him at DH the day after he pitched.

This specific instance is not in the game (him pitching and DH’ing in the same game).

MLB just approved this rule yesterday. No chance it would be in the game yet.

I started a test franchise and he isn’t even being used as a hitter at all. Just a pitcher. They’ve had how many years to make this work right? Now he’s on the cover and it still doesn’t work right. Getting pretty sad at this point.

17 years and no doubleheaders…and you expect them to get this right in four years? It’ll take at least another 11 years, at which time Ohtani might be retired.

Ohtani was the DH in the first Angels game in my franchise, then the starting pitcher in the second. So they are using him in the lineup.
