Best and Worst Releases In The Game

I think this topic is hugely important as some players have easy releases and nice animations while others simply dont.

List some players here who you have easy time shooting with and those you dont and maybe we can draw some consensus here. Really would like to know which guys shoot above or below ratings.

I've got a lot but those ASG cards can all shoot the lights out, even Chambers if you dont focus on the way his shot looks.

Rashard Lewis, AK47, Tony Parker, Lillard, Penny, Melo all have great strokes for me and shoot better than ratings.

I cannot for the life of me shoot with Cousy. Steph and Kyrie timing seems inconsistent, while they can shoot and have high ratings, I am just as good or better with others who may be lower.

For me some of the easiest releases include:

    Chris Bosh
    Damian Lillard
Sam Perkins (my fav silver player because of this)
    Kyle Korver
Chris Mullin (really wish I could equip his jumper on my MyPlayer)
    MVP Iverson

      My favorite releases are
      Steph
      Melo
      Butler
      Klay
      Bosh

Haven't really found one I really hated besides Blake.

I second Mullin. His jumper is WET.

          Best for me:
          Mitch Richmond
          Lillard
          Micheal Redd
          Peja

          Worst for me:
          Nash
          Van Exel
          Curry

I dont like Nash or Van Exel either. I like Michael Redd but he shoots like a high rated guy should anyway. I feel Lillard is one of the best because both of his golds can shoot despite not having the highest ratings.

Mullin has the best release in the game, bar none. Petit and Dirk also have some wet mid range jumpers too.

I haven't tried Curry in a long time, but he's one who's release was always a knock for me. I could never get it right and I would miss wide open shots off great screens alot. Rewards Scottie also has a terrible release, but his dunking makes up for it.

I don't trust ratings anymore. I've seen enough A+ shooters miss A- looks for this 2k cycle.

Re: Best and Worst Releases In The Game

It's hard to separate how good a release is, with the shooting ratings of the player, and also the way one will shoot with that player (e.g. off the dribble, contested, wide open, etc.).

In Freestyle practice, I can shoot really well with most players. In-game is a totally different story, particularly when I'm playing loose and am giving in to the temptation to chuck wantonly. Especially with quick release guys like Curry and Durant. Sometimes I can go 8-12 with them, sometimes 3-12. This is the case, for me, with most anyone. Definitely, with me, it's high variance due to user error.

One guy I feel like I am really consistent with and who isn't talked about as much as other shooters is DeMarre Carroll. Very high 86 Standing 3, so should be a very good shooter, but also only 65 Offensive Consistency. I feel like he has a really linear, smooth, high apex jumpshot that is one of the most reliable, for me, in the game.

When I was using his Current Gold a lot, I was money with Klay.

I have been shooting very consistently with TBT LeBron, but really dislike his rear-leaning, hitched, behind-the-head release and, even when I nail the timing, never feel totally comfortable shooting with him.

Clyde Drexler is bar none the easiest for me.
Some honorable mentions are Havlicek, Carmelo, Oscar (really slow though), Mullin, Gay, Wall, Maravich, and Parker

Richard Hamilton, both Gasols, Spreewell, Harrison Barnes, Lebron, and Kidd are a few I don't particularly admire.

Yeah Rudy has one of the easiest releases dr J too. I have to try Dandridge he was one of my fav cards back in 2k13.

Some under the radar cards with really easy releases are Sam Jones, Havlicek, Hayward and Brandon Knight.

I second this, just completed Domination and his Gold Card 83 overall was pure magic on offense for me.
