    Advanced Rotations for MyLeague

What's up 2K fam? I've been messing around with the Advanced Rotations and I love that we can save/download them this year. I was going to do all 30 NBA teams and upload them, but I can only upload a maximum of 5 (I can have 30 local saves). So instead, I am going to post them on here. I am a huge NBA junkie, but I can't watch every game and every team, so some rotations are likely more accurate than others. For example, I'm a Pistons die hard so their roster and the other Central division teams were easier for me to do than some of the west coast teams.

I used a few resources while making these, namely https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/teams for team depth charts and http://alexwainger.github.io/NBASubstitutionPatterns/ for team sub patterns. I also used my personal NBA knowledge to make them fit better into the flow of 2K. While I tried to follow teams patterns from last year, I obviously had to be a brother more creative with teams who had a lot of chsnge during the offseason, like the Timberwolves, than a more stable team like Washington.

With that being said, I'm sharing these on OS to let others use, and also to get feedback from other NBA fans and fans of other teams. I know that these aren't perfect, so any feedback is appreciated. I will post pictures of the rotations in the next few posts, hope everyone enjoys!!

Important Note: in my MyLeague, I edited in the major injuries for players (not day to day injuries but ones that will last months into the regular season) which is why Mills is starting for the Spurs and why KCP is not in the lineup for the Lakers. But for the most part, once they come back they will just take the same minutes of whoever is in their spot.

Glad you did this cause rotations are the one thing 2k devs never seem to get right or really even implement, did you find it harder to do than last year?

Nope, it is so much easier than last year. The different modes they added make it 10 times better. It was a bit confusing at first, but once I figured out how to use each mode it became a breeze. Really thankful for 2K implementing these changes.

He's healthy but suspended for first few games for DUI OR DWI from last season with Detroit.

Do advanced rotations work this year? Like will it keep a guy in the game if he’s in foul trouble or are they dynamic?

Are these uploaded on PS4 or would we have to implement them ourselves? If it's the latter, would you mind uploading them, I've really been struggling with inputting rotations this year haha

P.S. For the Mavericks, Dennis Smith Jr. will start and Nerlens Noel will come off the bench, so the starting five will be Smith Jr.-Curry-Matthews-Barnes-Nowitzki

                          Re: Advanced Rotations for MyLeague

I'm on Xbox, but even if I was on PS4 I could only upload a maximum of 5. Best way to implement is just use paint mode, it's the simplest way to set them. Then after I would use substitution mode to make player runs shorter/longer and role mode to take players in/out of rotations.

Thanks for the Mavs tip, I'll redo and upload a new pic tonight.

Mavs rotation has been updated to put Dennis Smith Jr as starting PG. The Mavs are a tricky team bc they like to run 2 point guard lineups, but they have a lot of undersized guards. Hopeing that these preseason games can help me tweak some of the teams.

You mentioned you can only upload 5. So does that mean the rotations wont stay when you save the roster? I can edit these in roster creator & use them for my season right? I would think if they are tied to the roster one could just upload a roster with the rotations.

                              Thanks for doing this btw!!!
