Made a spreadsheet for what I consider the most important tendencies. Feedback?

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

It uses 2018-19 stats to calculate approximate values for tendencies. Since stats aren't perfect, and I'm not either, I don't expect the tendency values to be perfect either. I'm constantly reworking them, but I like where they're at now and I think they make sense on paper, and also produce solid gameplay results.

Quick note: if a column is red, it means it's the value for the actual tendency (and not a stat that was recorded IRL).

Also, as you'll see, I have a bunch of other things on there, like Cross Matchups, Team Help Defense, etc. Most of those have a solid foundation, so if anyone has any questions/feedback about those, it's fair game.

I apologize if anything doesn't make sense or requires context, since I've been the only one viewing the spreadsheet until now, so naturally I already know what everything means.

Any questions are welcome, and feedback about anything at all is appreciated. Thanks.

Nice job on the spreadsheet. It will be very helpful to a lot of people. I will look more in depth when I have time but everything was displaying correctly for me.

Unfortunately, no. Sorry. By the time I finalized everything, it was after the 2019 regular season had ended, so I figured it was too late to edit a full roster and I should just wait until 2K20.

What I'm doing in my offline MyLeague is just using my spreadsheet to edit every team right before I play them. That could be a possibility for you.

There are a lot of terms that I don't fully understand. I hope you can clear out the terms

              The shooting tendencies.

              C/S, O/S, T3P, Dr Layup, Fl

              And 2P as in Midrange?

2P means Mid-range, yeah. I honestly have no idea why I was using "2P" instead of "Mid," but I just changed it, thanks for pointing it out.

C/S is Catch and Shoot (referring to the Spot-Up shot location tendencies)
                O/S: Off Screen
                T3P: Transition 3-Pointer
                Dr. Layup: Driving Layup

Not sure how I landed on this but I’m glad I did. I input your tendencies for the Celtics & 76ers starting lineup to a trial run & blown away isn’t even the word!!

Embiid is a BEAST! He was blowing by Kanter in the high post , backing down Theis for either a dream fadeaway or a spin with an open look. He settled for a couple of stupid 3’s which is realistic. Finished with 29 13 5. Ben was contained until Jaylen brown fouled out & he just abused Hayward in the post

Speaking of Hayward, he played like his usual self or old self, spotting up for 3 threes, and was effective in the high pick and roll. Tatums game was spot on with his 2018 playoff run.

Horford took 6 spot up midrange shots.

I did use CelticLG’s roster as a base and input your tendencies in red. The main difference with your two edits is

With CelticLG’s Ben plays how we all WANT him to play. Where as in real life he’s very inconsistent.

With yours Ben is true to his game. I saw flashes of a superstar but then he would just defer and get the assist. He finished with 16 10 8

If anyone is using CelticLG’s roster I highly recommend using these tendency edits!

Can’t forget, man did I HATE watching Marcus Smart on offense! And this is coming from a Celtics fan. He wouldn’t stop shooting. 1-7 3pt in 20mins smh Your on to something with this project

I've been using simworld's tendencies for a while. I am excited to try something new. Certian things raised my eyebrows like the little to no players using floaters and the amount of players who's drive tendency is 99. Can't wait i'll questions tmrw

Sorry about that. It happened because I have no way to find league-wide Floater statistics, so I have to do it player by player. That's why only Denver and LAL have their Floater tendencies done. I'll try to get on that ASAP.

I feel like NBA players are really that aggressive. IMO, the responsibility is on the defense to deter players by helping off the ball, but if you let any NBA team drive without seeing help, they'll score way more points in the paint than the average.

Yeah, it's the Attack Strong tendency (short for Finish). I just now tweaked it a little bit after your comment made me want to re-check it; I removed the decimal places and re-did the formula. Looks a lot better IMO.

Loving the feedback, guys. Any questions/comments, keep em coming. It definitely helps.

Tried out one game. Bucks @ Wizards CPU vs CPU, results were better than i thought!! Giannis dominated everybody finished 32 16 7 and John Wall though not shooting well facilitated everything finishing with 5 points 15 assists while Beal took the scoring load wth 33 points. Gonna test out more teams later tonight

I got scorched by curry two times in the past few days. The last game he went 10-20 in three’s & finished with 48 points!! I’m starting to see more guys finish closer to triple doubles , Giannis, Ben, LeBron, Westbrook.

Only gripe so far is the floater tendency set to 0. I see a lot of drives end up a pull-up J instead of a layup/floater or in some case a dunk. Stepbacks are kind of non existent. Even with that said these are still the best tendency edits I’ve used.

It doesn’t get any more SIM than this!

One thing I would like to see is dribble/crossover tendency edits as well. Watching CPUvCPU crossovers are non effective, for example Kyrie will do 100 different dribble animations and create 0 separation space.
