I’m going to assume Anthony Edwards will not have a face scan or any pro play animations.

He had ProPlay animations last year, so there is no reason for him not to have them this season.

They don't need him to come in to do 'mo-cap' so the animations are easy, but getting him to come in for a face scan is a totally different issue.

Also, if you want to know why they beat us over the head with microtransactions, then look no further than the idiots asking about MyTeam/MyCareer in the gameplay stream.

Re: NBA 2K25 Gameplay Trailer and New Gameplay Enhancements Revealed

The new rhythm shooting and defensive lateral movement options sound great in theory. Of course there's a lot of "NEW" that rarely ever translates as well as they make it sound. The dribbling part for example I don't see being that different, but let's see.

Most importantly, I am again very disappointed that one of the biggest issues in the game is again overlooked, and that is PASSING! The limited options are again not addressed. If that is just the same as it's always been then it's another skip for me.

And I feel again priorities are messed up, since to me there was no need to get every single player's shot animation right, to make dribbling look vastly different based on every single potential way of dribbling. Instead, why don't they expand passing and get that right with the new way of capturing film?! Not that it's the most important, but they could even do Jokic crazy passing justice with this one.

What would go a long way though IF they've used this technology and applied it to classic players. There's some unique forms and shooting animations that would do wonders for some players like Michael Adams, Bill Cartwright, Abdul-Rauf among others.

Saving and sharing playbooks is the biggest news here IMO, makes meshing your favorite rosters together a lot easier

All the offense stuff sounds cool but defensive player movement still looks sluggish in the trailers.

Maybe they had it on lower difficulty but will be and wait see mode to see if defenders actually use angles and flip their hips/turn and run (opening the window for counters/cutbacks/stepbacks) on defense or if it more of the same with bigs like Gobert being able to contain you unless you take super wide driving angles outside of their area of effect

Also from an offline user v. Cpu standpoint think they should bring back perimeter/interior contest ratings

Onball containment/post positioning are different from timing your contest when defending IRL. Could be consolidated into one rating sure but should be separated to separate guys who are good at sliding their feet AND being atheltic/smart enough to time contest on the opponents shot

Yeah, passing definitely needs to be overhauled and improved but it doesn't sell as many copies as scoring/shooting.

I haven't read the blog, but I'm hoping it has some improvements. [emoji1692]

Glad to be making the switch to PC because this game does NOT look good visually.

Body types are still atrocious, face scans are still outdated, jerseys are still stiff, colors are still off, lighting still doesn’t come close to ‘14, and court reflections are still nonexistent.

It’s like they tripled down on being bad, graphically. Unbelievable.
