    * Broadcast team? (2K15)

We already know of Ernie Johnson & Shaquille O'Neal doing the in-the-studio broadcasting for 2K15.

As far as play-by-play during gametime....

...since Steve Kerr has left the 'booth' to now 'coach'...

Kevin Harlan will be with (who)?
Currently playing on PS5 & XBOX SERIES X:
    • EA Sports College Football 25 - PS5
    • MLB The Show 24 - PS5
    • The Elder Scrolls V: SKYRIM - XBOX SERIES X
  • Trackball

    Re: *New Broadcast team? (2K15)

I just hope it hasn't gone back to the two-man team of Kevin and Clark Kellogg. They weren't BAD in 2K11, but the commentary got so much more lively and interesting after a third man joined the team.

The same thing happened, but in reverse, in the NCAA Football series. For a while it was a three-man team of Brad Nessler, Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso that worked really well. But then, Lee Corso left, and the commentary got SO much duller. It's one of the few bad points about NCAA 14, likely the last college football game we'll see for many years.

With Kerr now coaching, I would get rid of Clark Kellogg and bring in Reggie Miller and Mike Fratello to replace Kerr and Kellogg.

Plus with Ernie and Shaq doing commentary in the Studio that would feel like a breath of fresh air to the NBA 2K series.

I would prefer just about anyone over Kellogg.

              Follow the marketing plan, fellas.

Which means 2K probably won't tell who the new broadcast team is until they receive 1.5 million retweets of the phrase: #Mic_Check or something silly like that.

Virtual Currency is pervasive at 2k.

Its not enough to charge $60 for a video game.. and sell virtual coins on top of that...

But even the simplest pieces of information must be TRADED in yet ANOTHER form of micro-transaction, with a price tag attached.

              For Example:

Wanna know the new player ratings?
2K wants thousands of 'new twitter followers' just to release that info.

Wanna know who is on the broadcast team this year?
2K will probably need hundreds of thousands of 'retweets' to tell us that much.

Seems they just cannot come right out and provide ALL the game info (at once) that people wanna know to make an educated decision on whether they will buy the the game, or not.

              No way. Absolutely not. Nope.

              Information MUST trickle out.
(ie. ONE micro-transaction at a time. ONE new detail per week.)

              Like a hostage negotiation.

Hell, 2K will even use micro-transactions to tell gamers that certain aspects of the game are MOVING AWAY from micro-transactions.

              It's like 2k says...

              - "You give us something... we give you some details."

              - "You give us a certain number of retweets, 'likes' & Facebook page views... then maybe... just maybe... we give you some more basic information that other game developers will gladly provide upfront, absolutely free"

              - "And if we DO decide to say anything at all, we will put together a weekly webcast in the last 30 days before launch; so the fans can watch a few of us play the old version of the video game while listening to us pat ourselves on the back for 45 minutes or more, before we discuss ANYTHING even remotely important, or provide ANY useful information that really only takes 2-3 minutes to walk through."

              - "Meanwhile as we air these webcasts... we will completely IGNORE the very insightful questions in the 'chat window' from the very gamers who we actually used in our TRAILER this year, to help market & sell this doggone game in the first place."

              Unbelievable.

Hubbie Brown would also be a great choice, I love to watch games when he is part of the broadcast team. His basketball knowledge and experience are definitely evident when he is in the color commentary team.

It would be "brain neutral to reenlist the services of Kellogg…LOL

Just kidding. I don't necessarily think he's a bad commentator. Mike Breen, on the other hand, would probably provide some useful commentary to the series. probably even more so than Kellogg.

Imagine hitting a three and then Mike would go BANG!!!
