Sorry if this has already been answered (looked everywhere), but how do you manually send teammates on a cut? The manual says to press L1, pick a teammate, then use R to send them in a direction (just like last year). Now when I do that, this advanced playset mapped to the D pad pops out. Thanks!

I submitted a ticket with 2k, I'm curious if this is something they can or will fix with an update.
I may be in the minority, but I only play NBA2k for the ability to play with friends (whether in person or online). I have owned every NBA2K game since 2K2 and I have literally never once played one of the other game modes such as Crew, MyPlayer, MyTeam, Franchise, etc. The idea of playing a sports game against the computer has just never appealed to me. That's why I was so disappointed when they removed their superb online league capabilities in 2k11. I understand that to appease the masses, 2k needs to refine and add on features and game modes, but it is inexplicable when they remove features that affect actual gameplay. This ability to manually send players on cuts, as well as the ability to see player energy levels on the fly without having to press pause, has really dampened my enjoyment of what is otherwise an excellent iteration of NBA2K this year.Comment

I'm definitely adding my name to the list. This is a HUGE issue that plays out just like the posters describe - broken. 2K needs to fix this pronto. Manual offball cuts are extremely important to the way many people play.Comment

Hey,
When you send a teammate to cut the menu is going to show up regardless. Just make sure that you tap the teammate's icon and he will sill perform the action.

I replied with a video showing that this is NOT the case. But I have a feeling this is a problem 2k may try and sweep under the rug. Which would be too bad because I NEED this ability.
Maybe if some of you guys submitted similar tickets to 2k support they'd understand I'm not on my own with this problem?Comment
