Can't start game......update required

i have this exact same issue, just put 2k15 in downloaded patch and fully installed. And then Bam stuck at the Spurs/heat game.

Also have that "update required! bla bla bla" in the bottom left corner.

Im so fed up with 2k at the moment, they cant do anything right

so I finally got to the main menu, I let the cpu vs cpu in the heat/spurs game, when it finished it took me to the main menu. Dont know what the fix was though because I had done that exact thing about 10 times already.

Still haven't done it. Got the update thing to go away on the bottom left tho, a small win? This is insane. I've had the game since friday. I even left it on the start screen the entire day yesterday, and nothing.

There has to be a fix...2K hasn't said anything about this?

Just let the CPU play the game out. The game will go to menu right after. 54.17 GB doesn't not install in 5 minutes... Everyone should know that lol jk

Not sure if you read what was written in the beginning of this, but I've had the game since Thursday. It's fully installed. I've let the CPU play the game around 15 times and nothing. I've also personally played the game around 7 times. I left the system on for 3 straight days. So its been around 7,200 minutes.

The same thing happened to me yesterday. I bought a physical copy of the game and downloaded and installed the entire 54.27 gb overnight before I played.

The Spurs/Heat game had the "update required" language on the bottom left and even if I quit out of the game it would kick me back to the title screen where if I pressed X it would restart that game.

I had no choice but to let the computer control the game and let it play out to completion while I watched TV. When the game ended I was able to select the quit option and the game magically moved on.

My guess is that either you HAVE to go through the entire Spurs/Heat game (like it's not just an elaborate loading screen) or there's a second, hidden download beyond the 54 gb.

If you have to keep playing that game over I'd guess your system is having trouble with this hidden download. I assume you've tried to uninstall and reinstall the game?
