You are correct here man, I have noticed too when playing MyCareer. Both this game and Madden are the best they have been ever, now its mostly just legacy issues holding them back.
Thankfully with the new dev team at Madden and 2k's already commitment to excellence, I think we will be playing some great sports games in the next 2 years.
BTW Thank you 2k for finally fixing speed

I agree with you. The cpu defence still cheat you. The hard fouls your teammates give to offensive cpu's are still there too.
