How so? The thread maker is saying Curry isnt replicating in 2k what he is doing in real life. Its true, and if authenticity of the uncomprimising sort is what the goal is, then changes are needed. However, I only mean from a cpu vs cpu or user vs cpu standpoint, as we can all absolutely agree real life curry doing his thing in online head to heads would be a total destruction of any sort of parity.

Because the guys want it both ways. No cheese but then complain about the opposite. It goes that way for shooting, defense, and a ton of other aspects in the game.

The point is, these guys are on both sides of the fence and 2k should just balance the game and leave it there.

Huh? I disagree entirely.

The ability of 2K to replicate player tendencies is improving every year. I played Chicago and Butler had 29 shots and Rose 20. Not good. Next game Randolph beasted me and went 10/21. Ive had Cousins put up multiple 25+ shot games on me, and not just on O Rebs. This is the first 2K where bigs have often played dominantly.

But CPU Curry highlights that 2K has replicated attributes better then tendencies. He's 99 in every offensive category, but he still goes 8/13 for 19 points too often. Why? Because 2K programs players to play within structured offenses. They've gotten much better at finding better balance within these offenses. As I said, this year has seen bigs get a bigger role.

But real life Curry breaks this. What makes him Curry are the pull ups from 32 feet, the contested pull ups, the shots that should attract an F grade. The game can't account for this as it would require some pretty fancy AI programming. We've all loved the work Czar and the other devs have made in making offense look like real offenses. Well how do you program for someone who gets hot and wants to hit from half court? Do you build for one guy, even if he is the MVP?

So I think this is a very valid question.

What I said was valid too. The only reason its so called programmed like it is, is because of the silly complaints that go on constantly as I stated.

As those guys said, they see plenty of ridiculous Curry shots, shoot I do it too, all you need to do is learn his release well enough.

They max out his attributes and his chuck it from 3 tendency, what else do you want them to do?

What I hate is how you guys are constantly pointing out what's not and forgetting and just leaving everything they DO do, its never mentioned.

Probably a hundred threads on shooting and releases etc... just this year alone.

Firstly, Im talking about playing vs the CPU.

Im aware they've maxed out his tendencies and attributes. But he still doesnt really play like Curry. That's my point. That sense that he's going to start pulling from 32 feet isnt there. If I leave open, its bottoms. That's cool.

I dont see this as a major issue. For years, we all complained about bigs not getting shots. That has been hugely improved. Another step may be how the devs account for these players who hunt for their 3s (George/Lillard/Curry) because while their tendencies are maxed, there real life affinity for the 3 is not replicated.

Firstly I've never seen you or anyone else come here posting threads about Curry taking 40 footers on the fly before.

Not only has he been doing this a short time, but its still to wait til the game comes out to act like 2k has been neglecting his tendencies for a long time, especially when you have to seperate a special space of code for something like this for 1 out of probably 500 player models in the game.

It would make sense to bring the situation up and say this would make the game even more authentic, but the constant coming in here with that what they don't do stuff is getting tired, coming from a group that complains about the opposite things on both sides.

Hey 23 don't you think its time someone with a username 88SiegHeil88 is banned? I've reported this racist piece of guttertrash several times but he is still here. I'm sure having a pro Nazi username is against OS rules and regs so I'm just wondering why he isn't banned?
