Diamond Badges - there should be 1 per elite player

One of the biggest problems I have in this game is that some of the greatest players of all time really don't have anything that makes them stand out for what made them great, e.g: Dennis Rodman is pretty useless in game due to his height despite being one of the best rebounders of all time, Steph Curry's ability to shoot from crazy range doesn't apply, Shaq can't destroy people in the post like he could in real life, etc.

For next year I propose that there be a single "diamond" badge that can be applied to certain players that greatly boosts their ability in that one single area, so you could have Jordan with diamond acrobat, Vince Carter with diamond posterizer, Stockton with diamond dimer, etc.

This could also be applied to our MyPlayers to make them more distinct - you can choose ONE diamond badge to have a particularly effective skill, but never more than one. Would require some commitment to a certain playstyle and encourage the making of new characters for more replayability.

Interested to know people's thoughts

I like the idea, but maybe it should only be limited to NBA players and not MyPlayers.

Vince is my fav player of all time but put in there diamond posterizer and you'll have 5-6 poster dunks each game. I vote for no badges at all, it's badly incorporated in the game. I would rather see something like traits so the certain player have posterizer trait it means he will put on some posters but not each game certainly.

They just need to make the game work better. Rodman doesn't go in because height means more than rebounding skill, boxing people out works well, but the computer doesn't know how to do it. And height still works better (dudes grabbing rebs off the top of the backboard.)

This is something I was thinking... why is every my player THE GREATEST PLAYER IN NBA HISTORY? I know I've said that before, but that's really the problem. I have a SF and I remember just housing Bron in career, on whatever difficulty. Dude ends up like 2-9 with 6 fouls. I just rip the ball from him. IF he goes up for a dunk? Nah I block it from behind...

Bron and all-time great players should always be BETTER than your myplayers because they will never have the AI/stick skills. Bron would be faking an injury after 1 quarter vs my SF. It's not even fun...

and this goes to why it's imbalanced online (everyone is too good.) So, diamond badges... hm. I think what they need to do is make gold badges a lot more. Maybe make it so you can only have one GOLD badge, as well as limit the total number and type of badges you can have based on your player. We don't need dudes getting better. We need to bring the myplayers back down to reality.

All is literally clear when you take into account how much time is needed to go from bronze to gold badge and i will give one plain example.

Bronze Posterizer
(cashing in sound)
Silver Posterizer
(cashing in sound)
Golden posterizer
*congrats now you're eligible to dunk over people in any way possible
