Yo this is flat out not cool. I've been playing the past 6 or 7 years (or ever since they introduced the real % option ) with real shooting % on because I like to turn the names and all the shot meters off but now I can't make a freaking layup. So I think I'm crazy but I (While on Real shooting %) turn the meters back on and realize I'm missing all these hook shots and floaters and layups etc because I cant see the freaking timer. What a lame move by 2K to force this nonsense on an offline only player. Wow.

Unless I'm missing something this is a MASSIVE oversight on 2K's part...

You can play without the meter. It's not easy though. Per beluba you have to release slightly after the offensive player takes off for the layup. I feel like it gets inconsistent once you get into a contact layup animation.

That is utter crap.

EDIT: Not mad at you, just upset 2K would shove something like this down our throats to make me have to turn all of this clunky looking UI back on.

Meter is horrible I agree, but you can play without it, that's what we do.

the layup meter is the best thing they have added in years, IMO. I like having control.

The timing on the layups is a great thing. The meter doesn't give you more control it just makes things easyer.

It gives you control in the sense you are the reason you miss or make. Not some random outcome.
