Drop step badge; wtf am I doing wrong!?

This is for my glass cleaner, so bronze drop step.

I've been doing the correct moves (L2+↖or↗then tap ◻) but that doesn't match the actual game play moves shown in the demo video (with Carmelo Anthony) or in any of the YouTube videos.. I end up doing more of a spin move to a hook shot instead of the drop step.

"Post move score " keeps appearing for me after I perform my attempt at a drop step.

I've been grinding for this BRONZE badge for 3 games now, and I know I've done the move easily over 150 times..... help!!!

What's up.

There are two drop step things, it seems, one is a drop step, the other is kind of a hop step the other way. It took me forever to figure out how to drop step reliably because I was making it way more complicated. Literally just be pressing toward the basket (without turbo, I think?) while you are posted up and tap square. tap it lightly and let the animation happen. You will do a drop step.

Hold L2, hold the left stick diagonally toward the backboard, tap square, make sure not to let go of L2.

It says that you should hold the stick to the top corner but it works better for me when i just hold it straight up and tap the x button

Anyone doing drop step dunk successfully? I saw on a video the drop step dunk to the middle, but rarely see one towards the baseline.

No, never directly under basket, but in the paint backing down towards basket
