Seems we're talking about two different things.

I'm taking about from a simulation perspective long term for myleague.

The bunched up ratings lead to a lack of dominance by a golden state team or any other top team.

Because of guys like kemba being rated so high, it lessens the impact a true superstar has in myleague

Also there are far too few player rated over 90 overall after all of the current ones start to get older and regress/retire

Since 2K is so buddy buddy with the players, I see less and less people getting the ratings they actually deserve

he didn't he was at like a 94 at one point in the season

I meant stay as in get there mid-season. But a shooting slump and stay there. Catch fire in the playoffs then slump in the finals. He was up and down but that 99 never changed later in the year.
