NBA 2K18 | Player Rating Predictions: Point Guards

So in the next few weeks I am going to make rating predictions for the top 10 players in their position (unless 2K come out and confirm some which they have already but it is what it is lmao) and use stats and playoff stats to gauge where they belong. I am doing this by videos to show graphical explanations so here is the first:

Looks pretty realistic to me, but personally I'd lower steph curry and kemba walker. I'd put steph at a 93 and kemba at an 85, but knowing how much 2k is biased towards golden state, I think they'll put steph at a 95 or 94. Afterall, he only shot 41.1% from three this season and for some reason his three point attributes were all a 99 compared to Otto Porter who shot 43% from three this season who only had an 88 open three

If anything his three point attribute should be a 99.

Curry shot 45% last year and his attribute was a 99. Korver shot 45%, and his is only a 90? He also had a season where he shot 49% and 53%. He had the greatest three point shooting season of all time and he's never had a three point attribute above like a 95. Dude is a better shooter than curry

Well they take volume of shots in to context for rating players so Curry and Klay will rank high for taking so many attempts on high percentage.

He's not a better shooter than steph. Korver shoots literally half the amount of 3pters as steph. Not to mention the amount of shooting records curry has broken and the distances steph can pull up from. Also the year korver shot 53% from 3 he only took 2 3pters a game. That's like 1 made 3 a game.

41.1% = Best in the league ?

Idc if he takes 10 attempts, 2 attempts or 3000 attempts per game, 41.1% is elite level but not anywhere close to being best in the league

Dribbling back and fourth and chucking up a crazy shot????? wtf? you're just being biased now. How are you gonna compare this years percentage to korver's best year and say he's a better shooter? Stats lie dude. You have to actually watch games to evaluate a player fully. For example according the stats russell westbrook must be the best player in the league by far, and that's certainly not true. 3pt percentage isn't the only thing that evaluates shooting skill.

Curry had a year where he shot 11 threes an made 45.4% of them. Most years steph is taking more 3 pointers than korver takes REGULAR shots.

It's not that Korver takes smarter shots, he cannot take the shots off the dribble that Steph can because he's a spot up 3 shooter. Steph can dribble and generate his own 3 shot, Korver can't. Steph is on another level that Korver can only dream about.

If you read my post you would see that I said, in my opinion, Kyle Korver was a better shooter. That's my opinion. Didn't know I wasn't allowed to have one. I never said Otto Porter was a better shooter, I just said he shot the better percentage yet his three point attribute was way lower

Kyle Korver takes more three pointers than he takes regular shots. I've evaluated both players, and once again in my opinion I just believe that Kyle Korver is the smarter shooter, making him the better shooter in my opinion...

I don't want to make this into an argument thread because that's not what OP intended obviously, but I also don't want to sound like i'm just having a huge **** fest on curry. He is one of the greatest shooters of all time but I think Kyle Korver is too.

I personally think Kyle Korver is a better shooter than Stephen Curry. If that's some sort of crime, take me away and arrest me right now. Just because I think Kyle Korver is a better shooter doesn't mean I don't think Stephen Curry is a great shooter. The main reason I say Kyle Korver is better is because I think he takes smarter shots and he's been in the league way longer. He's been a consistent shooter in the league for over a decade while steph has only been around for 7 years. In time, there isn't a doubt in my mind that Steph can and will become the better shooter and the greatest shooter of all time.

But my opinion still stands. I think Korver is currently the better shooter

P.S. I don't know where you got the notion that stats lie but they don't lol
