An example of how well CAPs will blend in with scanned players this year

Going to be a fun year for us roster/draft class creators. Just look how well the CAP looks next to the Bron & Steph model

Face looks so clean & realistic! If it weren't for the shiny skin, you wouldn't even be able to tell that it was a created player.

And I honestly have no problem with the shiny skin, as long as the faces and body types look legit lol

The more I look at these pics, the more I come to realization how similar the CAP models look to 2k14's (which also blended in really well with the regular players in game)

Said they use 30 actual scans vs only 1 for 2K17. So thankfully no more cavemen this time.

Furthest I got into a MyLeague with 2K17 was 12 years and by that point it was like playing in some weird post apocalyptic alternate universe with all the neanderthal and mutant type players running around. The guy who was leading the league in scoring looked like an extra from a Mad Max movie.

The CAP screenshot is from the create a player/my player screen which is why it has that shiny kind of lighting but it will be different looking once it is ingame because of different lighting. Just take a look at how players look in create a player screen and how they look in game in 2k17. To get my point. Also the lebron screenshot you have there is an in game screenshot.

Interesting point there. Definitely didn't take this into consideration. Still expect CAP faces to look really good in game this year though

The weird thing is, I didn't mind the Kevin Spacey/squinty caveman look, because it was pretty close to what I look like in real life.

But I could absolutely see why people hated it. Especially since any attempt to correct the squinting only made his eyes look WORSE.

I wonder what VC employee was scanned for that face. We know Mike Wang's face is in the game...

Not sold on CAP yet. They still look kinda artificial imo. Doesn't look as good as FIFA/WWE games. Will have to wait and see what kinda faces i can create and what they look like in 5-on-5 gameplay before i get hyped. It feels like a step forward though which is nice

FIFA CAP look out of place. Idk what you are seeing but it's a clear difference between scanned and CAP in all FIFA games. I still play FIFA it's just that it's career modes can only be played so much

Waiting for tattoo news before getting all the way excited.

Also I hope there's a lot more hairstyles. Not a few - but ALOT.

Maybe it was Pro Evo i was thinking of.

^ The textures aren't great but the amount of variety you can get is good. And they look like real humans.

That said, i really liked how this CAP from the 2k18 vid looked. He looks very specific and unique. Hopefully a sign of more to come
