This is the way I went this year. Wanted to try something new after buying it out the stores for years. And GameStop only wanted to give me a few bucks for a trade in lol.

Re: Best place to get game from?

Personally I prefer going digital, dont have to deal with going out to get the game, and then having to wait a few hours while game is installing. Go digital and you can preload and be ready to play at the very minute the embargo is lifted. I use to do the hard copy route, because of trade in value, but nowday its not worth it to me, with no more than they give you for it, so I go digital now for all my games.

Newegg has it for 49.99 plus tax and shipping.

Does anyone with any newegg experience know if it will ship to the door on the 15th?

PSN digital so you don't have to worry about constantly swapping disc.

True, but for individuals that like to frequently switch up games within the hour, having to constantly swap discs is enough for me to go all digital, forever and ever.

Plus, the less physical stuff I have the better.

The only reason why I would go physical is for single campaign games that offer 15-20 hours of gameplay (i.e. stuff like first person shooting, action adventure, etc.). Beat the game within the first week and trade it in. Good thing I only play sports game. I simply watch the trailer for other game genres and I'm set.

I get mine the day of release at about 3pm.

Depends on the delivery routes of the shipping centers near where you live. I've heard of some people getting games the day before, but I don't think it's very common.

Best Buy gives you the $10 reward even if you preorder the digital version. You won't get the 20% off for gamers club but you'll still get $10 rewards for digital.

Definitely going digital. 2K is a year round game for me so it's no point of getting the disc. Also buying through Xbox Live, it'll already be downloaded when the game releases so I don't have to wait until it downloads on release day.

It's also a lot more convenient. Just click the 2K18 app and I am playing. Also game sharing doesn't hurt at ALL. Getting games by going half or taking turns. Can't beat that.

I would only consider getting the disc if it was a game I know I wouldn't play long so I could sell it somewhere.
