Change My Myplayer name ?

Is there a way to change the MyPlayer name ? Because for some reason I have no name at all, it just disappeared. The old trick from 2k19 with creating a new player doesnt work anymore on 2k20. They should just let us change the name so this can be fixed.

I contacted 2K support they said they were gonna tell the team to look into it for now they dont know a solution

I had the same thing in player maker for rosters there is a bug in the last name it comes up with offensive for most names, just try it a couple times and it might stick as it did with mine

Just emailed them about it and encourage all of to you to do it as well. This all can very much get fixed in the next update or two, we just need to get them on board. I've dropped the link below where you can submit a request as aggressive (or less aggressive than mine).

My sent email to them: Hello, I'm sure it's one of the most busiest days/weeks over there at 2k headquarters, but issues are present, and need to be resolved. I can't quite grasp my head around my MyPlayer not having a name on the back of his jersey. This is an issue because 1) I created the MyPlayer in the 2k20 demo with all information saved EXCEPT for the name. 2) Spent money on buying the game and expected proper information to transfer over. 3) I'm devoting time and energy, and your favorite, Virtual Currency, into this MyPlayer, therefore if i'm putting my effort in, you guys should too. 4) I don't want to look goofy in a MyCareer game with a no-name jersey, or even online in MyPark when custom jerseys go on sale as they do every year. A ''name change/edit'' feature should be added soon, or it seems like my $$ has gone to a nameless player. Please pass it forward, or in your case, upwards! Thanks.

Found out how:

Go to myplayer builder, edit build, press O all the way, there is the name to change. Looks like you need to restart the player though.

Super annoying the name is gone and the fact that "Yancey" is now "inappropriate language" but wasn't during the demo or any other 2K I've ever played.

Found out how:

Go to myplayer builder, edit build, press O all the way, there is the name to change. Looks like you need to restart the player though.

That's not worth it. No one should have to restart just over a name. Especially with upgrades already completed.

make a new player, set the name you want on him finish the build then skip to the NBA then delete him it should transfer to your actual player

I believe they posted the fix for 2k19 to me.

Sorry to hear your MyPlayer is invisible, however, we have a workaround!

Try this:

Create a new MyPlayer, exit, go back to MyCAREER and your file should be back to normal.
Once you reach the Nav Menu, quit to the main menu.
Load into the original file and it should appear.
