Anyone have this problem, I'm only playing PNO. I downloaded the game from the play store. Some days it's fine, some days its not.

I notice I get this a lot on pc. Idk if it cuz I have mods cuz I had mods b4 and I was able to play online.

If you have mods activated this CAN happen but does not need to necessarily. From my experience (I mod the game since...I dunno....2k13?) if you use modded cyberfaces, this can happen more frequently.


On the other hand if you change a matchup using the matchup menu in the pause menu, then this error message turns up. This bug is in the game for years.

I've had this happen 4-5 games out of 35-40

Was a huge issue in PNO last year though....was happening left and right. Let us know if it persists!

Most of the time it happend right after the jump ball after i paused to adjust my defensive/offensive settings (why can't we adjust them before the game by the way?) and sometimes just randomly in the middle of the game with no obvious trigger.

This is still happening to me. Maybe adjusting the settings does have something to do with this.

And there you have it. Do NOT adjust the offensive settings (def settings should work...at least I never had problems in the last 2-3 years) using the pause menu. Do NOT adjust matchups in the pause menu. Do NOT change your system proficiency in the pause menu.


These are all things that can lead to these kind of disconnects. It's a known bug for years, I report it every year, but they never fix it.

So the people who run plays can't make adjustments and if they do, the game will disconnect? Well I guess I don't need to play then. They should address this issue and fix it. I bought the game, at least I should be able to enjoy it.

you can make adjustments but have to use timeout and on the fly Menu to make them, Not the Pause Menu. like i said, it has been this way for years.

It's more prone to PC.

I played over 1k play now online each year on my ps4 and those happen like 1 out of 15 matches regardless of what changes i made with pause, matchup, playbook, custom play, defensive settings.

But in PC Play Now Online. it happens almost 90% of the time everytime i touch anything with pause menu. and it still happens like 30% even without touching anything with the pause menu. lol.

Thats bad to hear. If the problem is PC-only than the priority for them to fix it is close to zero.

Had 4 of these today and it was after I reset my router because the games were too laggy.
