NBA 2K22 MyNBA: The Deep Dive Is Coming, What to Expect?

NBA 2K still has the best franchise mode in existence. That said, MyNBA is not without...

I just hope they fixed that annoying bug where expansion teams' benches stand BEHIND their chairs and never actually sit down, and/or endlessly walking in place because they're blocked by the scorer's table.

I hope every year they add a ticker at the bottom during games showing games in progress. Sadly I know that isn't implemented. Just hoping for something immersive. MyNba games feel like I'm playing playnow. I do hope they change free agency one of these years. I can always sign the best player if I just outbid even when my team sucks

Would love to have shared rosters as an Xbox user.

I would love a system that adjust player tendencies in the offseason for the cpu teams. The game is awesome with custom roster changes to tendencies but then players change teams and touches and other tendencies need adjusted. Also players develop but don't take advantage of new skills due to tendencies never changing.

Cross platform rosters would be a life saver for us that can't get our hands on to next gen consoles. It would be a relief for us to continue downloading rosters from these talented rosters creators. Trying to purchase a next gen console has been a nightmare because of this pandemic that we are in and im sure 2k has noticed this especially in regards to sales.

I could have sworn that tendencies for all players change over time in MyLeague-- there are even sliders for it, aren't there? Am I thinking of something else?

For MyNBA Online for 2K22 I hope they fix the invisible uniform glitch when selecting jerseys.

And I hope they fix contract extensions before the players contract expires. All players are always “undecided” through the deadline. But in real life especially this year’s offseason there has been so many contract extensions.

Also, give all users the ability to edit their teams shoes and gear/accessories, not just the admins.

Yeah, it shouldn't be that hard to implement right? Like what if it's a last season game and played at the same time where the other score impacts the position of your game. You should be able to see it. It's like running a simulation at the same time.

All I can really hope for is more realistic trades and teams not being complete trash after a few seasons of going through MyLeague / MyNBA. With regards to trades and free agents, I'd love to some type of system where a few elements are indicated to the chances of someone willing to play for you, for example:

                  1. front office and player treatment - how loyal you are (to stars), do you trade a lot, how involved is the owner etc.
                  2. city make-up - this can largely be pre-determined so how big the city is, TV market, lost of clubs etc.
                  3. fans - can be partially pre-determined, but also due to how likeable your team is, if fans show up etc.
                  4. analytics vs. old school - do you look at stats a lot (maybe tied to if you actually look up stats, go through stats of players you scout for the draft and also the likelihood of your GM to be analytics driven, which in case of current GMs can be pre-determined and quantified.)
                  5. team make-up + strategy / coaching - old school coach with a true center, PG = PG or are you more freely with line-ups. Is there room for the player? Does the style fit his talent?

Also with 2 assistant coaches, hoping for more realistic candidates to sign but not expecting that. Better designs and more options to design expansion teams would be cool too.

Which we all know hasn’t worked and it hasn’t been realistic ever, so it really confuses me why they haven’t addressed it.

The question. What do y’all expect to read when the deep dive comes out?

Playing NBA 2K feels like a job that pays minimum wage and then cuts your pay when you get your Bill's right to make it even harder to succeed. I do not like this game but it's the only one in town.

At cheese, I'm trash. At basketball, I'm great!

Team building logic. The Team building doesn’t make sense IDC what way you flip it anyone with the 2k cape over their eyes can see the AI team building logic is flawed.

Better progression and regression, maybe completing the boom and bust system would help this
                          ... But hey VC sale!!

Explanations of the improvements defensively as a user and the AI. As a user I shouldn't be able to take a player and turn them into a competent player just because I'm using them, especially defensively.

AI defense needs to be better, if I'm telling my guys to play a drop coverage I expect the big to drop down when I tell them too, not do something else entirely.

If I have a guy that's a great defender, I'd expect them to be better defensively vs someone who is a weaker defender. Felt like at times it was too easy for guys to get open off ball despite who was guarding them without having to bring additional user help. Defense will always be a give and take, I just want guys to play the defense I set accordingly.

Highly doubt it, but would love for badges to either be toned down or removed to let ratings do their thing. Over the years it just feels like they've been replacing ratings with badges, but badges have more power over ratings. There definitely needs to be a better balance.

A 2k companion app for MyNBA leagues offline and online would be great too.

This lol. This every year. Myleague been the same basically for the last 5 years. Would be cool if they finally updated the draft class to look normal. I don't think its going to be a deep dive more like a dive in a 8ft pool
