    Low scoring games?

Playing on ps5 and have had this issue ever since the next gen version is out

Scores at the end of games on 12 minute quarters is in the 90s to low 100s

I play as the Celtics who granted even in real life aren’t an offensive juggernaut but as we have seen in actual nba the scores are at least on occasion in the 30 point per quarter range

Even with sliders I struggle to have myself or the cpu consistently shoot a high percentage which then leads to low scores. This is compounded by relatively few open corner 3s (a staple of the modern nba) and overly physical perimeter defense

Am I the only one? Any suggestions? As mentioned have had the same issue with sliders and it affects me and the computer equally. Perhaps just the team I play as?

90s to low 100s doesn’t sound that low to me, increasing game speed may help though

      I’ll try doing that

Just for reference the lowest team PPG right now (in real nba) is at 98.5, middle of the league is around 107-108 points which I’m not coming close to consistently seeing

I should have clarified better, the majority of my games are around 90s with only a few getting to the 100 point mark

I see this as well in played games. I think it is mostly due to the lack of fouls (still). You can compensate by increasing shooting percentages, but that brings its own set of issues. I'm going to try increasing game speed a bit to see if that helps.

I think lack of fouls more than anything. Could take away 15-20 pts a game

I might be over-endorsing here lol...but check out my slider set.

            https://forums.operationsports.com/f...-gameplay.html

I've been doing sets since 2k17...What I've been able to do is allow the game to feel more opened up, such as being able to make contested jumpshots more often, able to finish at the rim contested, and overall a more offensive game to reflect today's NBA.

I've done the research to see that NBA teams are now scoring between 105-130 regularly. Last year the highest team ppg was 120.1 ... I feel my sliders reflect that, and the CPU will take the proper shots from 3pt & mid range as well. You should be able to do so successfully also.

***Thing is, I don't know your skill level, but I'd consider myself pretty experienced & I NEED a challenge to keep coming back. Try them out, and if its too difficult, just lower the CPU offensive awareness from 85 back to 50 and start there. Also, if shooting for you is too difficult just raise your mid & 3pt shot by 2-3 points. Let me know if this can help bro, and I'll be around to help you get the gameplay you're looking for.

I enjoy the low scoring games so much more. Means good defense is being played and scoring is more of a grind. 130/150 point games feel like a circus.
