(XBox360) CWSapp757/Dreece NBA 2K13 Realistic Fictional Draft Classes

What's up guys. I'm not sure if the mods say my previous request to close the other thread but that one will be closed soon. Anyway, from here on out this is where you will be able to get all the info regarding all of the draft classes that I will putting out this year. Once again, they are Sim World compatible, but can be downloaded and adjusted to your liking if you chose not to use that roster. Click here to follow the progress of the Sim World project.

This year I want you guys to add a little to it. Below, you will find the attachment/link to the draft class scouting reports. Now, these reports are very extensive and over 100 pages long giving detailed information on each individual player in the draft. There are also interviews for several different payers that are included in the draft. You will also find a brief write up and Big Board below. A player with a star beside his name decided to go back to school and will be in a later draft class. For any of those individuals, you guys can select a player and list a question that you may want him to be asked during his future interview. The interviews are very informal so the question does not have to be about basketball at all. Check out the scouting reports to get an idea.

Also, new to this years scouting reports are profiles for the top high school recruits. Read up on these guys so that you can follow them and see rather or not they end up being a prospect or someone you may want to pick up in a future draft class or.... to determine whether or not they make it to the NBA at all. With that being said, definitely take a look at the scouting reports as they are lots of info and "secrets" that may help you determine who is showing signs of being a late round steal and who might be a bust. I hope that you guys enjoy and don't forget to comment and give your input.

Point Guard
Kentucky Freshman poing guard Kareem Packett is just the latest young man to jump on and off the Calipari "train of fame". Packett did what most top Wildcat recruits do: Come to Kentucky, showcase their skill for a year and then get drafted in the lottery. Many individuals thought that Packett may come back however after how the Wildcat season ended. Packett averaged 15.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.9 steals per game on the way to a great season and a number one seed in the tournament. Kentucky was surprised however by a William Jenkins led Coastal Carolina who lit them up for 39 points. Packett was ejected from that game after tossing Jenkins to the ground aggressively after a 10 - 0 Coastal Carolina run in the second half. "He called me and apologized so I'm not tripping about it" William Jenkins said about the situation. "I know people say that's a red flag but the kid is only 19 years old. He's still maturing... we're all still maturing". Packett can expect to hear his name called as high as number one and no lower than number 5.

Shooting Guard
UConn Sophomore Justin Washington came in last year as a highly touted freshman. UConn coach Kevin Ollie surprised the country by only playing the young 19 phenom 5 minutes each game. "He wasn't mentally ready for the spotlight" Ollie said. "I wasn't trying to hold him back. I just wanted to make sure he was ready for the team's sake and his own". Apparently something happened in that year because he went from a barely known freshman to college basketball sensation. The All American averaged 17.5, 6.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists on the way to the Elite 8. Many felt that Washington should have won the player of the year award but did not due to his "quiet" play style. Washington isn't flashy, doesn't yell, doesn't brag.... doesn't even talk much. "He was the best player in college basketball last year but he's not a leader" said a random Big East player. "His teammates like him but they aren’t afraid to ignore him. A leader demands respect from his teammates and he doesn't". We won't have to wait long to see if this is true as Washington expects to hear his name called at #1 or #2.

Small Forward
Senior Forward Jermaine McLemore comes from a school with rich tradition. However, basketball isn't the sport that usually comes to mind when you think about The U. McLemore who was wasn't recruited by many of the big time schools has had no problem letting everyone know that he has a chip on his shoulder. The 6'10 forward plays with extreme intensity. However, some say he has a "me first" type attitude. "His teammates never seemed to enjoy playing with him" North Carolina forward Emmanuel Griffin stated while shaking his head. "He just seemed to be in it for himself". McLemore's issues with teammates have been well documented. Many speculate that freshman Quan Wilder transferred to Oklahoma State simply because the two couldn't get along. No one can deny his ability to play ball however. Expect to hear McLemore's name called between 5 and 8.

Power Forward
To call someone a goofball would be insulting to many. But Syracuse Sophomore Brandon Lewis prefers that title. The bruising power forward looks like one of the meanest players on the court but is actually a self proclaimed "joker". "Dude is a NUT. Do you hear me? He's certified crazy" close friend Kareem Packett said about Lewis while laughing. "We were eating at Golden Corral some years back after an AAU basketball game. Dude just got up and starting singing Michael Jackson Black or White out of nowhere. He sung the entire chours then just sat down and kept eating like nothing happened. Who does that"? Lewis might be crazy but he's also an amazing basketball player. Lewis averaged 18.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, took him NCAA player of the year honors and a trip to the championship game (although the team lost). Expect to see Lewis go somewhere between pick 3 and 6 at the draft.

Center
When you look at freshman center Jarvis Martin, many things may come to mind. Strong, powerful, intimidating are a few words that many would agree with. "He is without a doubt the smartest player that I have ever coached" Memphis coach Josh Pastner stated. "Sometimes I'm trying to give him basketball knowledge and he wants to talk about psychology theories". The center who averaged 17.4 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.8 blocks was accepted in to Penn, Stanford and Cornell. "I had a lot of options as far as what school I wanted to attend" Martin said. "I decided to go to Memphis to focus on my basketball career but I definitely plan to get my doctorate degree before its all said and done". While Martin plans to reach his academic goals in the future, GMs see him having a long career as a big time center in the NBA. It is pretty much a lock that Martin will go in the top 5.

Milan Macvan drives on DJ Carter Point Guard
DJ Carter.... if you haven't heard that name by now you either don't watch college basketball or you've been living under a rock all year. DJ Carter is a National Champion, All American and the player of the year. On top of those accomplishments, you won't find many people that know anything about basketball who do not think Carter is the unanimous number one player in the draft. Carter is not only great on both sides of the ball, he is a leader. "Even as a sophomore, players rallied around the kid" teammate Michael Smith said". He's just got the personality where he wants everyone. Around him to excel and he does whatever he needs to do to make that happen. Carter scored twenty plus points in each tournament game along with 3 steals and definitely confirmed his player of the year award. I don't care who you have on our team: if you're in position to get Carter, get him.

Shooting Guard
Harold Thompson out of Alabama is predicted to go in the Top 5. But who exactly is Harold Thompson. His freshman year, Thompson came in a celebrated recruit and was expected to get early playing time. However, Thompson was often pulled from games early and seen arguing with coaches on the bench. Even with the decreased playing time, Thompson still managed to make the NCAA All Freshman Team with a very strong finish last year. This year, Thompson has shown much more maturity but still has some issues to iron out according to some. Many believe that he is ready for the big stage however. “I know him personally, and I don’t want to put his business out there, but there are other things in life that cause people to act a certain way” Florida guard Dontae Berry said. “I wish that people would give him a break and try to understand that he is not a bad kid. I think he is already showing major improvement and will continue to do so once he gets to the league”. Maturity questions aside, Thompson averaged 16.9 ppg , 2.9 rpg and 1.2 apg and Second Team All American honors. When asked about how he felt about his perceived maturity issues Thompson stated “I produce… .what else could people possibly want me to do”. We should see Thompson go somewhere in the top 5 on draft night.

Small Forward
To put it simply, Florida Forward Vincent Berry loves contact. Although he played the 3 and 4 in college, one place where you could consistently find him is the paint. "He loves contact" Florida teammate Tobias Mason said. "He's 230 lbs but thinks he's a damn center sometimes. As long as he's bumping bodies down low he's happy". Maybe loving contact just runs in the family. Vincent is the younger cousin of former Tennessee standout football player Eric Berry. When asked about his cousin, Eric Berry stated "He's bruised me up a few times to be honest. I think if he's put in the right situation, he can be an immediate contributor in the pros". Berry averaged 14.6 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.7 blocks per game during his sophomore season and is predicted to go in somewhere between pick number 5 - 8.

Power Forward
John Newton is simply one of the nicest guys that you will ever meet. The soft spoken power forward out of Kansas State enjoys participated in community events, volunteering wherever possible and pretty much just brightening up the spirits of others. “I just love to see people smile. That is part of the reason why I chose to play sports when I was in school. I just wanted to be around others, have fun and be a good teammate and friend”. But playing sports is more of a privilege to Newton than it is a hobby. Two years, it was discovered that Newton was born with an abnormal heart valve. Although he never experienced any real chest pains, his minutes were decreased somewhat this year. “You just feel bad for him” Oklahoma State center Dominique Watkins stated. I don’t know him to well but I know that he seems to be a good person. I just hope that his career isn’t cut short or limited too much because of his condition”. EVEN with his minutes decreased, Newton came second for player of the year in the conference and honestly could have battled DJ Carter for player of the year if he was used to his full potential. It seems that Newton would easily be a top 5 pick if not for the heart condition. As it is, he will more than likely fall in to the lottery. We will all be rooting for him.

Center
In a sea of good centers, Ohio State’s Noah Simmons seems to be the best available in this year’s draft. Simmons is a coach’s dream as he plays harder than anyone on the court no matter the competition. “To have a kid with this type of talent stay at your program for three years is pretty rare” Ohio State coach Thad Matta said. “It has been a pleasure to have him here as he had made many of the other players better just by continuously putting forth 110 percent effort no matter the situation. A true leader leads by example and this kid is a true leader”. While Simmons does need to work on his offensive game, he may be the best defender in the draft. Simmons averaged 14.9 ppg , 7.9 rpg and 3.2 bpg on his way to winning defensive player of the year. When asked about how he became such a good defender Simmons said “My bigger brothers never passed me the ball when we played at home. So for years, I simply focused on stopping them from scoring”. And I guess the rest is history. Simmons should go very early on draft night.

Point Guard
Spartan senior point guard Jeffrey Sessions may not be Magic Johnson, but he may be the best leader that the team has seen in decades. "He is the reason I was able to produce so quickly" Michigan State freshman William Cross stated. "He made me feel comfortable but he also let me know that he expected my all every time I stepped on the court". Sessions has been on the radar for years now and probably would have been a top 3 or 4 pick in last years draft. "I have always been the type to make sure I finish what I start. That includes school" Sessions said. With that type of “Get it done” attitude and his amazing feel for the point guard position, he will make some team happy come draft night.

Shooting Guard
Everyone knows the story…. Jerome Sims came back to school as opposed to being a top three pick in last year’s week draft. His goal you ask… win the championship of course. Sims along with Sophomore Mario Bethea tag teamed the nation in route to a number one seed and a great shot to win the championship. Unfortunately, the team came up short against William Cross, Jeff Sessions and the Michigan State Spartans. “No one took it harder than him” Baylor forward Mario Bethea said. “I still don’t think he is completely over it. But he is just a competitor like that so I expect that from him”. Jerome Sims has been on a tear in workouts and just about everyone is impressed with him. Sims has made it clear that he is without a doubt a top three pick and potentially a number one pick. When asked where he expected to go Sims stated “Number one of course. What did you think I would say”. We shall see Mr. Sims.

Small Forwards
At the Small Forward position stands the player of the year (once again from Kansas) and projected number one pick on most people’s draft board. Russell Blackman is a unique type of player with a Lebron James type skill set. He can rebound, defend, score with ease, has great vision and can handle the ball. Some even believe that Blackman doesn’t play to his full potential too often. “Sometimes you feel like he just has mercy” Syracuse Freshman Theo Burgess stated. “He has the skill and body to get to the basket whenever he wants but sometimes he seems more interested in passing the ball to teammates and allowing the opposing team to get back in to the game”. Blackman however simply stated “Basketball is a team sport and I play team ball”. Blackman has shown that he can be a leader and most feel that he can step in to a city and take over immediately. We see if he is ready to be “the man” on the professional stage.

Power Forward
Freshman Power Forward Tony Webber out of Duke is just one of the many Blue Devils that have left Coach K as a projected lottery pick. Webber admittedly had issues adjusting to playing with players that are as highly skilled as he is. “I would like to think that I am an unselfish player” Webber said. “But being a Blue Devil was the first time that I have ever been on a team where I was not the best in every aspect of the game. I am so glad that I got an opportunity to play with higher caliber players as I feel like it has prepared me for the NBA”. And it looks like he is as Webber’s end of season surges shocked many. Webber began the season very “dry” but started conference play with a 23 point, 12 rebound game against Clemson and a 27 point, 13 rebound game against Center Bryan Jennings and Georgia Tech. That pretty much started the hype train for Webber. Only time will tell if Webber will be more like former Blue Devil forwards Elton Brand or Shelden Williams in the NBA.

Center
Freshman Center William Cross is just… beastly. A just a reminder: The 7’1 305 lbs monster is only 19 years old! Many scouts felt that Cross would simply rely on his size to punish players while at Michigan State. While he did punish and abuse many defenders, Cross has also shown great work ethic and has developed a number of finesse post moves and a mid range jumper as well. “I mean, you can look at him and tell that he is a beast from looking at him” his point guard Jeff Sessions said. “There is more to him than what you see though. I can honestly say that he has been one of the best teammates that I have had since I started playing organized basketball”. After having a marvelous freshman year and helping lead Michigan State to a national championship game, many believe that he is a “sure thing” at the center position. But they also said that about Greg Oden… didn’t they? Hopefully Cross will go the opposite direction of the before mentioned center.

Point Guard
California point guard James Sterling may honestly be the most relaxed basketball player I have ever been around. He is soft spoken, smart and extremely positive about seemingly everything. Did I mention that he is a terror on the basketball court. In this day and age, a point guard of Sterling’s caliber is usually bolting to the NBA by their sophomore year. Not Sterling though. “If you don’t like that guy than there is just something wrong with you”, troubled California teammate Damon Grant said. “I call him for advice in basketball and life all the time and will continue to do so”. Sterling had a great career at California and posted numbers of 13.1 ppg , 9.7 apg and 1.8 spg last year. Whether he will be an All Star for years to come is up in the air but he appears to be ready to play right now.

Where Brooklyn at? I’ll let UNC SG Santonio Graham answer that for you. Graham is no stranger to being in the spotlight whether it’s being a top high school prospect or deciding to go to UNC after verbally committing to Texas. One thing is for sure though, Graham plays a tough kind of ball that is necessary for someone his size. “Graham is small for a 2 but I’ll be damned if he doesn’t attack the rim like he doesn’t care about his body” Wake Forest forward Rasheed Frazier said. “He is the definition of having no fear”. Graham is an explosive, very quick guard that lived up to expectations (in my opinion to the hype). One thing is for sure… fans of any team will be happy to have him. Unless you are a University of Texas fan as well.

Well, Baylor forward Mario Bethea stayed at Baylor so that he could show what he could do. He answered to the tune of 16.9 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 1.8 apg and 1.9 spg. Everyone knew that Bethea was an NBA player but he really showed that he could potentially be the centerpiece of an NBA franchise last year at Baylor. “I don’t really know if there is anything that Bethea can’t do on the basketball court” former teammate and current NBA player Jerome Sims said. “I’m actually glad that he stayed for one more year because I don’t think his performance the previous year did him justice. It would be great to play with him again”. While the possibility of Sims and Bethea hooing up again are unlikely, Bethea’s willingness to put forth 110 percent on defense will be appreciated by any player. “I like scoring, but I get more of a thrill from frustrating an offense” Bethea said when asked about his game. Who didn’t think that Ahmad Harmon would be gone after his dominating campaign last year? If you raised your hand, take that same hand and slap yourself with it. Harmon is a perfect example of a player that only went to college because it is mandatory. Harmon made it known that he was NBA bound and honestly had the body and the skill to do it. No matter though. He simply went to college and dominated and made himself the consensus number one pick. Harmon has superb skills on both sides of the ball and his stat line showed it (20.4 ppg , 9.6 rpg, 2.9 apg, 2.1 spg, 2.7 bpg). When asked how you guard Ahmad Harmon, Texas Tech forward said “If I had the answer to that, I would be rich). When asked if he could dominate in the NBA the same way he dominated the college game, Harmon simply said, “We are about to find out”. I don’t think anyone will be dumb enough to pass up Harmon at the number one pick.

Talk about showing up your big brother. North Carolina State center Ty Hawkins decided to go to NC State even after his older brother, Indiana State PF David Hawkins, urged him to come there. The likelihood of the two meeting that season weren’t likely but Ty got his chance and lit his big brother and Indiana State up in a 20 point victory. “He deserved it for all the butt whippings he gave me on the court growing up” Ty Hawkins said with a smile. Hawkins, who averaged 13.7 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 2.9 bpg didn’t have the most consistent season, but has shown flashes of brilliance that has scouts believing that he is worthy of at least a lottery pick. While some believe that Hawkins could have been a top 5 pick if he went back to school, David Hawkins approves of his younger brother’s decision. “I’m just happy for him” David said. “Anything can happen and it would be a shame if he were to suffer a severe injury after coming back. His stock is pretty high and we are both confident about his decision. I will be there to support him on draft night”. If David has another season like he did this season, his younger brother will be able to return the favor sooner than later. Expect to see Ty Hawkins go in the top ten.

User team was the Utah Jazz. I traded Millsap to Knicks for some low level role players and 2 #1 picks during the 12-13 season. Drafted Alex Poythress with the 7th pick of the 2013 draft. Injuries decimated a potential run at an 8th seed in March when Mo Williams and Big Al went down with major injuries...back to the lottery. My pick for 2014 was #4 and that #1 from NY in the Millsap trade landed me the #10 slot

Lol. Man, how the world did you pull that off!? The super funny/weird thing is that both of those players are based off of real life friends of mine and they both happened to be in town for Christmas and at my crib while I was reading your post just now. No problem my man, I thought i give a lil xmas gift to the OS members. Packett was what the mock had me taking and after the draft workouts went well he was THE obvious pick there. Brandon took alot of....lets say luck LOL. After the combine I was very high on PF Lewis outta UNC @ #10 but Detroit pulled a Darko again at #2 and MJ and the Bobkitties lost out again with a MAJOR reach @ #9. I sipped my Egg nog and yelled "GM OF THE YEAR BABY!!!"

LOL at Dreece. Bobcats definitely reached bigggg time. And Bigmac, I actually forgot how to put the classes up here for offline but if anyone wants to do it for me or walk me through it I would be more than happy too. Draft class 2 in the work now fellas!

@Sapp draft class 2!! A GM job is never done lol, almost time to get that notepad out again. In the meantime I'll post some stats from key matchups from after the all star break in my Jazz association. Im currently watching Jazz vs Rockets.. Dex McMillan vs Packett has been good stats shortly...
