Lol, the graphics and models are better, thats not a doubt...I think the thing that is still holding Kobe back, is his facial hair. He needs that rugged hair to define his face...and its removed in the game.

other than that, I'm satisfied with 2k8 graphics and player models. especially the HUGE change in Chris Paul.

Hey GREAT post, you've really shed some light.

I think it takes a post like this to really realize the upgrades in faces. 2K7 just looks terrible now

I noticed they fixed the Cavaliers jersey too. The neckline was off in 2k7. Also, they made the nba logo on Lebron's headband in the center like real life and not to the side. The Rockets jersey neckline should be white though. And in real life there are no lines on the Hornets' jersey on the arm holes. Very minor complaints however. NBA 2k8 seems to be stepping up so much it makes me nervous that EA is going to pull some huge power move to monopolize NBA rights. I know they tried and failed but 2K just keeps bringing it and everybody has a price.

I used to think that NBA2K7 looked pretty good. Not as good as Live, but nice. From the gameplay camera distance, I get I didn't really see how far off they were. But DAMN! Compared to 2K8, 2K7 looks old-gen.

Of course, compare 2K7 to the Xbox and PS2 versions of the game and I'll be reminded of what old-gen REALLY looks like.
