Anyone tried playing on Pro, post patch?

I changed all the coach sliders last night, not the player ones yet, and still the pgs are lighting it up. What is causing this problem? Its like every pg I play is Larry Hughes and decides on shooting the ball, whereas my stars just pass it off all the time. I am not doubling teaming them or anything.

Im having the problem of completely sucking at this game even on pro, the computer still even with tweaked shooting goes well over 50% from the floor per game.

They get an insane amount of offensive rebounds.

Maybe i just totally suck at this game (id be the first to admit, and i play as the knicks also).

But i just cant get any consitency, heres to tweaking the sliders again.

I've been having better experiences on Pro as well. Whoever said the tendencies shine brighter on Pro was spot on. On All-Star, the CPU consistently tries to look for cutters and it kinda ruins the entire CPU offense. On Pro, they seem to react more realistically depending on the tendencies.

I rarely see the cpu drive and actually dribble the ball back out if the 'D' is to heavy in the paint on All Star. On Pro, I've seen the cpu reset its offense and take smarter shots. I honestly think the biggest difference is the tendencies.

Someone else hit the nail on the head in terms of how the cpu plays when you raise the difficulty. On higher levels it does seem as if there is more slashing to the basket, back door cuts, alley-oops and forced layups than there is on Pro. On Pro, the CPU runs behaves however their tendencies tell them to behave. I usually edit the coaching tendencies(nogsters) game by game and they make a hell of a difference in terms of CPU offense. I did the same on All Star once upon a time and it seemed as if all the teams played the same regardless of the edits.

You must play good D on the PG in order for him to run the offense smoothly. I promise you if you slack off any PG in the game a few feet, they willl jack it up consistenly. Of course if you play a PG with minimal offense, this isn't the case. Play tight D and they will dribble around or run a play. Sagg off just a tad and watch em shoot at will.

I don't even give PGs like Rondo too much space on offense, even though they're bad at shooting. I sag off only when I notice an intention to drive to the basket, so I can contain the dribble drive. I'm a huge fan of pressure defense, so I wind up contesting a lot of shots and getting many blocks that way, even if it means I pick up more fouls.

I have been playing on pro for sometime now... I don't remember who first posted the topic concerning playing on pro but it was up and that's for sure... I use to sag off of mediocre pg's... Not anymore... I try my best to contest every shot they fire. I got tired of them burning me to much for not respecting them by sagging off. Don't get me wrong I do give them a little space so I can try and shutdown the drive.

I still run into games sometimes where mediocre passing pg's rack-up high assist rates and find that hard to control or maybe I need to tweak something.

As for the close shot success... I have kept them pretty low for myself and the ai... They miss some and I miss some in traffic that is... which is realistic. Every player driving to the basket shouldn't make all their close shot... especially if they are being guarded.

do you go for any steals with the steal button or just use the tight defense thing? It seems everytime I try and go for the steal I get burnt.

All I want is for superstars to kick my butt and for some reason they never feel like taking over a game. Everything else in the game is pretty spot on though which is nice.
