    Association: In-Progress Patch Items

    This is not a final list. Not all of these have fixes just, I just wanted to give you guys a heads-up so you are aware of what I am looking into for the Association. As you guys know, we are always listening to the community; so if you think we missed anything important, this is a good place to let me know.

    Items we are looking into:
    - Tuning down Homecourt advantage during the regular season as well as during the playoffs.
    - Issue with players having their roles adjusted downward when they become injured, which results in a low morale, which ultimately results in skewed Team Chemistry values around the league.
    - Issue where performing Weekly Practices makes your players have 1-star trade value.
    - Issue where Intentional Fouls are disabled after participating in an Intra-Squad Scrimmage.
    - Tuning Draft Class values to be more in-line with the players they are replacing in the league. Players will be less uniform in size/weight to their position as well (meaning there will be small chances for talented 6'6 point guards, 7' small forwards, etc.).
    - Issue with trade frequency being greatly reduced in future years. Also, tuning the timing of in-season trades.
    - Issue with good players still in the free agent pool after the Free Agents period has ended.
    - Issue with the Qualifying Offers time period being automatically skipped on occasion, causing the loss matching rights on restricted free agents.
    - Loosening the logic the CPU uses to decide whether to accept or decline team contract options.
    - Issue with undrafted free agents signing unrealistic contracts (PC users won't notice this issue).
    - Issue with in-game saves when the save is made while the game is in a timeout situation (don't create in-game saves during timeouts until the patch is released).
    - Issue where existing players are getting their signature animations edited at the end of every season.
    - Issue where users are unable to waive players during the Training Camp period of the offseason when more than 15 players are on the roster.
    - Issue where Potential values are not being properly updated in the player progression system.
    - (PS3 only) Issue where the game is hanging on a black screen between the first and second quarter in the weeks leading up to the All-Star game.

    Mind you, this list isn't comprehensive. These are just the core issues we are looking at right now. I've seen a few mentions here and there of people saying they are hanging on a black screen between quarters. If you are one of these people, please get in touch with me ASAP.

        Simballer could you also take a look at draft day trades, I've been through many drafts and have not seen a realistic trade when involving draft picks. The CPU gives pennies to the dollar involving draft picks and I was wondering if you were going to address this in the patch as well?

          if u guys fix these things this would be the best GAME of all time not just sports. I love that u guys are listening and are makin an effort instead of bein like you bought it.get over it.Love me some 2ksports.

            Please look into the game freezing on ps3 only when trying to watch the White House visit after a championship. I have tried multiple times and it freezes everytime(haven't tried to watch it after year 1 however, so could just be after year 2 and beyond. My guess it would occur after year 1 as well though.). But it freezes at the same point each time.

            Also, with the draft classes coming in, thanks for looknig into it! But question...Are you toning down how highly rated they are coming into the league? IMHO no rookie should come into the league at a 80+ovr. With the progression, they are in the 90s within 4 or 5yrs. Too many superstars in the league is what's causing the high ovr FAs not to be signed imo...So if you could, look into lowering they're attributes coming into the league. Only 2 or 3 should be in the 70s(and low 70s) overall. With the majority in the 60s, 50s, and some in the 40s. Thanks for listening and keeping us all up to date!

            Oh yeah, will these fixes force us to start an association over or not? Maybe certain ones would force us to to see them(ie draft classes), but some won't? Thanks again!

                Will it be possible to have the Around The League Show in Association? Not it's not even showing in NBA Today games, but I think this can be fixed when the regular NBA season starts.

                  If you make an in game save I notice the highlight reel, and signature highlights don't happen.

                    Thanks for the update, SimBaller. I know you said it wasn't comprehensive, but I hope there's a fix for freezes, specifically at the completion of My Player games(My Player is the only mode where I have experienced freezing).

                      I hope this is the right place to post a patch suggestion, if not please delete.

                      I noticed there is a thread about fast breaks, don't know if you've seen it simballer, but there are very few fast breaks that don't come off steals, just wondering if there is a slider to use to increase the chances of players filling their lanes properly, or if it is a patch only type of thing. Thanks a lot for your time and a great game.

                        If not I would start over. I don't play more than 5 games a week anyway. I hope the turnaround is within a month though Fingers Crossed.

                          Please fix the ridiculous amount of full court passing by the cpu after a def rebound!! I just played the Thunder, and I couldn't count of one hand the time they passed it 3/4 or full court to Durant!! Absolutely stupid and nothing at all I can do to stop it when it happens. Pleaseeeee fix this!

                            Can we please keep this strictley association stuff.Im sure there will be other fixes for other little things like that but association MUST be the main topic. Dont want this to fill up with a bunch of other random questions.Not tryin to sound like a D!#% i just reaaly want these things fixed first and foremost.

                              Below are the ones missing ... and as side note, the majority of the bugs dont seem to be present on the 29 & 58 games associations, just in the 82.


                              1.
                              SYSTEM: PS3
                              GAME MODE: Association
                              SITUATION (This includes quarter/time left): Any time/season
                              CUSTOMIZATION: Be it default or sim gamestyle & be it default or custom rosters
                              DETAILS: AI teams fire coaches and hire new ones to be fired way too soon. Its the timing. A coach gets fired (ramdomly throughout the season), a new one is hired and just week later or before, he gets fired too. I have seen this at least 12 times in 20 different simmed associations.

                              2.
                              SYSTEM: PS3
                              GAME MODE: Association & Season
                              SITUATION (This includes quarter/time left): At the begining of season
                              CUSTOMIZATION: Be it default or sim gamestyle & be it default or custom rosters
                              DETAILS: The modes reset all rotations and redo it ramdomly, also if edits are made to players roles, once the modes start they get back to default. On previous itinerations, any edits of rotations, situationals and player roles were transfered integrally from the main mode.

                              3.
                              SYSTEM: PS3
                              GAME MODE: Association
                              SITUATION (This includes quarter/time left): Any time/season
                              CUSTOMIZATION: Be it default or sim gamestyle & be it default or custom rosters
                              DETAILS: The hard coded progression rate is a little overdone as players shouldnt progress despite having their potential edited down to 25 and despite having few to no playing time at all.

                              4.
                              SYSTEM: PS3
                              GAME MODE: Association
                              SITUATION (This includes quarter/time left): At draft day
                              CUSTOMIZATION: Be it default or sim gamestyle & custom draft class
                              DETAILS: On draft day different AI teams are picking the "same" player over and over, subsecuently the other rookies go into FA and then are signed by teams. Ultimatelly it looks like teams wasted their picks as there was just one player and not multiple clones.

                              5.
                              SYSTEM: PS3
                              GAME MODE: Association
                              SITUATION (This includes quarter/time left): After first season
                              CUSTOMIZATION: Be it default or sim gamestyle & be it default or custom rosters & be it default or custom draft classes
                              DETAILS: There are teams with more than 15 players and when you try to release the ones that are over the limit or anyone within that roster, you cant and therefor cant continue with the mode. That is while controlling all teams but putting in auto all the options for 29 AI teams to le it controll each one.
                              Also check further in the thread some issues about generated coaches (post 42, forgive the manners of whoever wrote those quotes) and about further draft classes presenting rookies as 2011 draftees.

                              To my fellow OS comrades, please dont cluster this thread with complains that do not pertaint to association, like the ones correlated to gameplay ... unless it is exlusively present within the mode.
