I'm not talking about the online Association. I was just wondering, with the lack of rookies and players who signed overseas that will be taken off the rosters in future updates, will most people wait until the real season starts before they start their Association. Even though I like to put my created player on the Bulls in Association mode, I still like the rosters to be close to accurate to start off with. Do you guys agree? If so, what modes will you play the most until the lockout is over?

No Way am I waiting to watch NBA basketball AND waiting to play... Im starting probably a couple days after getting it.

Immediately, my first assc/chise is like the first pancake its there just make sure all features are working and to get a feel for the trading system ya no, stuff like that. When the rookies, rosters and nba-today launch then I'll start my 30 year Assc.

to be honest i really don't know what to do : / i wanna start MP mode from day 1 but i just CAN'T pass on the rookies and updated rosters ! damn...

edit : yeah i know this thread was about asso and not MP but we're all in the same **** : )

That's my problem. To me, Association mode is the best thing about 2k, but I don't want to start one and then have all my rosters be inaccurate months later.

My plan is to create 20 or 30 of my family and friends, use them as a base roster, then create an Association. This should take me about 2.5 weeks to do. I will also be practicing moves during that time. I hope that they find a way to have a season by then.

If not, I will still start one. I am not the biggest basketball fan but I do love NBA 2k. I watch tons of football and soccer. Now, around the playoffs I do watch more games.

By the way, I wish there was a way for them to update the roster files where I have my CAPS without me having to overwrite it or save a new one. Doing that means I can't use my CAPS with updated rosters. Also, I wish I could copy players (especially CAPS) from one roster to another. Is any of this possible?
