In response to this, these two posts pretty much say all that needs to be said:

2k is lazy, it has little to do with hardware.

I'm not sure why your game is lagging like it is, but cyberfaces do literally nothing to slow the game down. 2k could definitely improve the quality, they just don't/won't for some reason.

This might be silly but can NBA 2k13 PC work on a Mac? I just got 2k13 for my 360, but after seeing many mods that I like I want to switch.

I'm not sure if they made a Mac version, but I have Windows 7 on a Bootcamp partition, so I just run any games I want off of that.

Does that run on Mac or what? I just don't want to have to buy a PC laptop for 1 game.

I wasn't comparing MLB 2K and The Show, I just meant to compare other sports games, to NBA 2K.

I'm not sure about 2k13, but 2k11 and 2k12 ran pretty well on my 2+ year old Macbook Pro. I bought 2k13 on Xbox this year, and I doubt I'll get it on PC as well, but I'm fairly confident that it too would run just fine on my Mac.

You would have to get Windows 7 and either also buy Parallells Desktop at http://www.parallels.com/download/desktop/ or learn how to use BootCamp at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1461 or http://www.digitaltrends.com/computi...-7-on-an-imac/, but running Windows on your Mac can be done. However, this game like many other PC games will NOT run on Mac OS X so you'd have to use one of the methods above.

I may just get it and see if it works. I'd just rather have a 30 dollar game that has no limits of what you can do then a 60 dollar game where I have to wait months for updates.
