Crash Reports

If and when you encounter a crash, can you please reply to this thread with your DxDiag.txt, VideoSettings.cfg and CrashReport.txt files?

You can get a DxDiag.txt by running dxdiag (just press the Windows key or click on the start menu and type in dxdiag and run it) and then click on "Save All Information..."
You can get your VideoSettings.cfg and CrashReport.txt by opening Explorer and going to %appdata%\2K Sports\NBA 2K16.

It would also help to mention your Steam username and timestamp (including your location or exact timezone) of the crash, as well as what you were doing to lead up to the crash.

Here is mine. Can't add the cfg. file though (invalid file)?

My game SLOWLY goes through to the opening menu but crashes just before.

It happened when I tried to change the res to 1440p. Basically crashing out before I can get in and change anything back......

Re: Crash Reports

Here are mine.
Steam ID : cripterion

I don't have stuttering in game (and don't experience crashes or disappearing audio), as a matter of fact my settings are always above 60fps but there is some stuttering with the team logo swishes during the game and Earnie, Shaq, and Kenny intro as well as foul replays who show the player reacting to the foul, not the foul action.

Borked half time show highlights : it only shows players inbounding the ball after a shot was made, not the actuall highlight action (kinda same as with foul highlight)

And the 1st quarter highlights as well as stadium intro where players are introduced with light effects skip frames even though my fps is at 76 or more and sometimes it will speed up like someone hit the fast forward button.

All of this is really puzzling and I doubt it comes from my rig.
Also why is there no profile for NBA2K16 in Nvidia Inspector? I know we can create it manually but seems you guys didn't work at all with Nvidia this time around?

Cheers and here's hoping to a prompt first patch. I'm not touching the game in this state.

PS : changed VideoSettings to a txt file just so I could upload here but it's labeled correctly in my Appdata/Roaming/2K16 folder.

Re: Crash Reports

Leftos, is there an email or something I can send these to?

Plus I have a CrashReport.dmp that may be of use.

If you're stuck on a crash loop after changing graphics settings, then delete VideoSettings.cfg from %appdata%\2K Sports\NBA 2K16. That will restore the settings to default.

Re: Crash Reports

Leftos, any idea why the replays are completely bugged for some of us? As in not displaying the actions intended, always the aftermath, with players in bounding the ball or just reacting to fouls?
