No Buzz....

A few months back this forum had a lot buzz around it, with the new RTP engine and the new control EA was tauting...Well, now it seems after a few videos and the other guys releasing a bunch of new info. on their product this forum overall is pretty dead. Other than some pretty negative feedback. I for one, was pretty excited to see the game in action, now, however I am wondered what the heck is EA is going to do because the other bball game has me stoked!! I want to be excited for both games, EA has just not done much for the hype train at all in the last week or so...So I'm wondering has EA just given up, or is this just some bad strategy by eA?! C'mon EA, give us something to get amped over!!

EA guillotined themselves buzz-wise. Only thing left for them to show is possibly a white flag. Everything for them hinges on the demo and 1st month sales.

Agreed the demo will either make or break them (or rather, break them even more than they already appear to be broken )

this board is absolutely dead... they need to start releasing info on other game modes rather than just the controls. I mean we get it already. It's all about controls.

^^^^^^ LOL, thats exactly how I feel, I come to these boards several times a day hoping to see some kinda of new info on Elite. Nothing of the sort however, reAnimator or someone, anyone give us something to discuss...We are drowning over here, I look at the other guys and smile really big, cuz I know that are getting a classic with that one, this game however,hmmmmmm...

They released two vids this week on gametrailers about the become a legendary feature. They came out around the same time Czar released his vids and the new 2K insight.

And besides its going to be tough to maintain any buzz when Czar is releasing vids like that. And also because the other game is so much better to watch that people are going to be more likely to watch 2K's vids.

They could have gained some ground if the dev team would be able to release those blogs they promised us. Those would have been good to have especially when the gameplay vids came out, they could have explained each vid instead of just releasing it w/ lil explanation. Probably wouldn't have gotten as many negative responses if a blog was out detailing every vid imo.

Even if Czar didnt bring out any vids 2k is still bringing out insights..With elite 11 theres really nothing out there as much as it was but from what hearing elite 11 is going to give a demo date in the next few days

Right that's why I brung up the blogs the fact that they don't have them this year is hurting them for sure. This game needs much more explanation because it doesn't look that great in motion.

Its like I said above if the devs would have detailed exactly what was going on each vid in relation to the controls maybe it would have gotten a better response.

To be fair.......they are going up against a monster this season in 2K11. You are talking about Jordan + the entire 1990's NBA (peak times) and a game that's already established clearly as the number one seller.

Elite is trying a new "physics" approach...back to stage one etc.

It's going to take time.

Being realistic, I can't imagine most NBA fans not buying into the Jordan factor.....so ELITE needs to sell itself as a "worthy second choice".

That's their job, to convince people who are already going to pay $60 for an NBA game to do it for a second game also. Not an easy sell.

Pretty much how I feel about this whole situation.. terrible spot to put yourself in but this seems to be EA's reality this year. Would have been the same thing last year had 2K10 some decent player movement imo.
