    Serious roster errors....please read

I did not put this in the roster thread because I thought many people would not see it, but I have stumbled upon about 30 to 40 serious errors on the ratings of freshman centers that are starting for several teams. Most of these freshman ratings are 80 overall on teams that are from mid-major divisions. The reason for the high overall rating is the fact that they all have at least 96 on their offensive ability. You can verify this by looking at a few of the following teams starting freshman centers: Boston U. Montana, N. Arizona, N. Colorado, VMI, G. Mason, James Madison, Rider, Mizz St., Wichita St, American, Chattanooga, Elon, Samford. And that's not all of em. I have corrected these very impactful errors and saved the roster file. I will post it in the EA locker as FIXEDROSTER09. I believe this will help the simulation engine a great deal as I was having too many upsets. I feel like this is a much better overall roster now. My user name is RAGZY2112 if you want the file, but delete me as a friend unless you still wanna talk or play online with me.

It's funny you say that because Notre Dame in my dynasty is 1-5...They are supposed to be really good and they lost three in a row to teams that are C-....

I played both American and Wichita St. with the Hoyas and I noticed both their centers were 80+ ovr.

What did you bring their Off. down to? Just give me an average and I'll input them myself, I don't want to start my dynasty over.

I just pulled down the offensive ability to where there defensive ability is. Usually in the 70s. That brought their overall to a realistic rating usually in the lower 70s which I can deal with. It made a BIG difference in simulation games. Much more realistic as I didn't have those lower level teams pulling off an upset EVERY DAY, but there are still a few upsets just like in the real game.

Update: I just went through and corrected every team. There were over 100 freshmen mostly on mid and lower conference teams that were rated anywhere from 78 to 80 and most of them centers and they all have offensive abilities of 96 to 99. I brought their offensive ability down to match their def. ability. I feel like this is the most fair thing to do. I adjusted the starting lineups for these teams as well because they had really messed up lineups. It's sad that a lot of people have started their dynasty's because what you will run into is TOO MANY UPSETS. I knew something was wrong when three 16 seeds upset 1 seeds in my dynasty and one 16 seed went to the regional final. If you want realistic outcomes, you need to request me as a friend and download my roster. RAGZY2112 file name is FIXEDROSTER09.

Are the players on your roster named?

Yes this is a named roster for every team. I believe there a just a couple of player IN THE WHOLE NATION that are not named, but they are on lower level teams. If you want the best rated and most accurate dynasty, then use this roster. If you want 16 seeds beating top ranked seeds, use the previous named roster. I believe in realism and accuracy to the fullest extent. The initial roster EA put out was full of freshman centers that were overall 80s that were bogus, therefore producing upset after upset. I can't believe I am the first person finding this out.

I am noticing a lot of upsets in my dynasty as well, UNC(4-4) just lost to Evansville and there have been numerous other ones as well.

I seen this awhile ago prior to the game being released, but if you look at all the teams there are players on the roster with a 99 for offensive awareness. The bigger schools have more players rated higher than the smaller schools, so how is this an issue? Duke's roster lowest rated player the tenth man is 75 and the rest are 84 and above same with UNC most players are 91 or higher

I agree with Hustlin, I don't view this as an issue. I'm not sure that player ratings will make a difference as to where and when upsets happen, especially if its only one player. Also, once you get past the first season, then every thing is subjective as teams recruit better players.

In my dynasty UNC has one loss and there isn't really any surprises other than Pitt being 7-7 now after I beat them. They've lost some games you wouldn't expect, but no one else really stands out like a sore thumb.

Besides, I'd much rather have upsets then not. Just my .02
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I have just finished editing starting lineups and ratings to be realistic to their real life counterpart. This took me two days of work, but I have used yahoo stats, espn stats, rivals.com, and athlon yearbook to make sure everyone's stuff is accurate. I feel like this roster is by far the most realistic that you can find. Thanks to everyone at operation sports that named these players. If you want the most accurate roster out, my xbox gamertag is RAGZY2112 and the filename is FINALROSTER in my locker. Please spread the word and feel free to share this with everyone so that we can all enjoy a REALISTIC simulation of the greatest game on earth.

I restarted my dynasty (only about 6 games in) with these rosters and then simmed to the game I am at until I had the same record. With my old dynasty all Big East teams had at least 3 losses (excluding Gtown who had 2) losing decisively to lower tier teams. I found this to be ridiculous considering how it is IRL.

When I restarted it, through the same number of games most teams had only one loss before Conference games and I feel that is a bit more realistic. I hear both sides of the discussion here, but I think Jason has a valid point to bring down some of these mid- and lower-tier teams who have guys who are completely overrated.

Not sure how this will effect the game come Season 2, but at least we can have one good season of a "normal" amount of upsets.

I am shooting for the most accurate simulation results. I just think this is a very good game and it's worth the time to get these ratings exact. The gameplay is awesome. If we can get the simulation engine to recreate believable results, we will have a GREAT game on our hands here.
