Re: Saved Rosters and the Bracket Pack

I don't believe the Bracket Pack is out yet for the PS3. There is no option menu in the PS3 to download from, so I believe it will an add-on that will need to be downloaded from the PSN store which up dates on Thursdays, which hopefully will be today.

People need to make sure the bracket with the correct teams is really uploaded and there is another download separate from it, called the March Madness edition bracket pack which is 106mb. You have to download both.

One is on marketplace without the game in and the other you download from within the game. 1 is 106mb and the other is 103kb.
Can EA make this a little more confusing? At first I downloaded the 106 mb one, but not the one within the game, so I did not have the brackets. The rosters looked the same as the old disc default ones though, but of course, there were no new pairings in the bracket. Then I downloaded what I needed to from within the game, but just assumed I didn't need the other one (the 106mb) and deleted it.
What does the 106 mb one do? That's probably stadiums, jerseys, etc. (I would guess by the larger size)? Are you sure you need both? Where did you hear you needed both, or did you just figure that out yourself. Thanks.

Re: Saved Rosters and the Bracket Pack

Does anyone know if saved rosters would work with the Arcade edition of the bracket pack? I don't have the retail version, but downloaded the standalone tournament version when it first hit. Was just wondering if I can get named rosters and have them work.

@ B2M:

Check the rosters thread. You may find an answer there.

Well considering it was 106mb I automatically knew it was the stadiums and jersey's they did the same thing with March Madness 08.

I am pretty sure you are wrong on this one brotha. On the Xbox Live Marketplace it states that 106 mb download is the bracket pack for the March Madness Edition sold there for 1200 points. I am going to check that out and get back to everyone.

Drursus, I agree with you. It clearly says March Madness Edition and not only that, the download from the game for the brackets has a different icon in the system and finally, the March Madness Edition says, "Compatible with..."

Re: Saved Rosters and the Bracket Pack

OK, I checked. Contrary to what BehindtheShadows said, you DO NOT have to download the 108MB add-on that is in the Xbox Live Marketplace. That is for the NCAA Basketball: March Madness Edition NOT the retail disc version. It states that in the description, but I checked by playing my game with and without the 108 MB add on. It is the same as long as you download the correct add-on in the game or in the Live Marketplace.

Here is how you do that if you don't know already. I am in front of my 360 so I will list it in detail:

On the main menu go to My NCAA
On the next submenu go to EA Sports Extras
On the next submenu go to Xbox Live Marketplace (this is different than the main one).
Then scroll down (there will be a list of team picture packs)
to NCAA Basketball 09 Bracket Pack which is only 604KB
choose that and Download. That's it. Oh as of yesterday you needed Gold to get them. You can also get them from me on my blog in Xchange format.

You can also get in in the main Xbox Live Marketplace
Just go to game marketplace > game add-ons and choose new arrivals > then choose NCAA Basketball 09 Bracket Pack (604KB) NOT the NCAA Basketball 09: March Madness Edition Bracket Pack add-on (108MB).

I also checked, the rosters and ratings are the same whether you have the 106MB add on or not. Makes no difference since its not for the retail game.

Once again, the rosters don't seem to be tweaked much at all nor the rotations. I sent a PM to one of the EA guys, but he hasn't answered me yet. I really don't care that much, but I thought they were going to try to make them better. I just wanted to make sure that I was going about getting the rosters correctly, thinking maybe they were online in the Hub or something.

I am looking forward to playing this today while watching the games. Hopefully the Gophers can score an upset tonight.
