So yes I have the MME but as an add on and it's free
I know that if you have the retail version you don't need to buy the March Madness Edition. I only asked earlier because there are some people out there that may want both for whatever reason. Maybe they didn't realize what it really was. Maybe they collect, I don't know. I just asked to clarify and make sure we were talking about the same thing.

But, I still disagree that you need to download the 108 mb MME add-on. You only need the NCAA 09 Basketball Bracket pack I described earlier (which can be downloaded from within the game or the Live Marketplace (but its only a few hundred KB). I believe the March Madness Edition Add-on pak is FOR the March Madness Edition stand-alone game. The reason I believe they came out with the add-on for the MME is because the download came out before the correct teams and brackets. It is larger because it had to be. The NCAA Basketball: March Madness Edition is a scaled down game.

Do this BehindtheShadows, delete the 109MB add on (which you can delete in your HDD area), and tell me what is different. Tell me how I am wrong. What is different?

Unless you do that and you see something different that I don't see, and report back about it, we are beating a dead horse

Go to game mode } Tournaments. If that doesn't work, read my previous instructions.

Re: Saved Rosters and the Bracket Pack

Those are the best sliders in my opinion. I just had to crank the 3pt shot to 25 though. I just wasn't hitting the broad side of a barn with Minnesota since they're not really a good 3pt shooting team except for Hoffarber.

Went back to College Hoops for a while, but now I'm back to this game. CHs is fun, but I guess I am just tired of it, and this game is just more fun for some reason. Maybe its the ball movement, and I like the R analog juking etc. in this game. Also, if I don't play my game, I can lose a lot in this game with those sliders and that level. I have to actually do some plays and pick and rolls against the better teams, and concentrate.

If they improve on this game, next years will be awesome. I don't like how the computer handles full court pressure (their D I mean). People talk about the 2-3 zone problem, but I play with Minnesota, and we're mostly in man to man so I don't know. I wonder if its overblown anyway. When I have switched to zone, I didn't notice too many turnovers. I should try using Syracuse sometime.

does anyone have MME and its addon? we all seem to be talking about just the retails addon. I get a bad feeing MME's addon has everything we are looking for. and of course with it being the MME version i'm sure only those with MME would know...speak up those of u who were too cheap to buy the full game! I kid I kid...

Re: Saved Rosters and the Bracket Pack

I have MME and the Bracket Pack for that and do not have NCAA Basketball 09 (the retail edition).

When I purchased it prior to the tourney, you could play with this year's rosters, but it was last year's tournament bracket.

After the bracket pack came out, the bracket was updated to reflect this year's pairing. I only had to download one add-on, which specifically said was for use with NCAA Basketball 09: March Madness Edition.

Ok well here's some indicators that maybe you could check to see if rosters are "updated" in that version. Is BJ Mullens the highest rated Buckeye? Is David Lighty even on the active Buckeyes roster? Does Wake Forest have the looks of a top 5 team?

Exactly, that's why I say that that particular download which is 108 MB is for the March Madness Addition only.

What about the rosters? Can you check those and tell me what the Gophers players overall ratings are? That will tell me if they updated the rosters at least for you MME purchasers. I bet they did not, but who knows.

I am going to go online in there and see if it asks me to download new rosters. I have not tried that recently. (I doubt it though).

For the PS3, there is only a small download that is 106 KB

I did this but it whipes out all the names I have in. Puts in default #s as names. Anyway to keep my names and just update the ratings?

No, the EA guy said that you can't. You would have to rename them. You really could just name your own team since they don't show the CPU names anyway (what a mistake by EA).

You can just keep your own named rosters of course by just downloading the roster pack.
If you want named rosters by Jason2112 (they are really good), just send me a friend request in Live and I'll hook you up. I usually keep everyone on for a day or two and then delete, so try to get them within that time frame.
