Drursus, I agree with you. It clearly says March Madness Edition and not only that, the download from the game for the brackets has a different icon in the system and finally, the March Madness Edition says, "Compatible with..."

OK, I checked. Contrary to what BehindtheShadows said, you DO NOT have to download the 108MB add-on that is in the Xbox Live Marketplace. That is for the NCAA Basketball: March Madness Edition NOT the retail disc version. It states that in the description, but I checked by playing my game with and without the 108 MB add on. It is the same as long as you download the correct add-on in the game or in the Live Marketplace.

Here is how you do that if you don't know already. I am in front of my 360 so I will list it in detail:

On the main menu go to My NCAA
On the next submenu go to EA Sports Extras
On the next submenu go to Xbox Live Marketplace (this is different than the main one).
Then scroll down (there will be a list of team picture packs)
to NCAA Basketball 09 Bracket Pack which is only 604KB
choose that and Download. That's it. Oh as of yesterday you needed Gold to get them. You can also get them from me on my blog in Xchange format.

You can also get in in the main Xbox Live Marketplace
Just go to game marketplace > game add-ons and choose new arrivals > then choose NCAA Basketball 09 Bracket Pack (604KB) NOT the NCAA Basketball 09: March Madness Edition Bracket Pack add-on (108MB).

I also checked, the rosters and ratings are the same whether you have the 106MB add on or not. Makes no difference since its not for the retail game.

Once again, the rosters don't seem to be tweaked much at all nor the rotations. I sent a PM to one of the EA guys, but he hasn't answered me yet. I really don't care that much, but I thought they were going to try to make them better. I just wanted to make sure that I was going about getting the rosters correctly, thinking maybe they were online in the Hub or something.

I am looking forward to playing this today while watching the games. Hopefully the Gophers can score an upset tonight.

But, the all-knowing BehindtheShadows stated he "automatically" knew the 108 MB was for the stadiums.
Just busting you a little Behindtheshadows .

Yea, in my other post, I looked into it. I think they only needed 604KB because they just added logos, a bracket with correct teams and locations, and maybe some roster tweaks, but I have yet to see any.

March madness edition is the updated jersey's and more. Yes you can down load the small file which is nothing more but updated bracket.

But MM edition adds everything else. I started my bracket without it and there was a difference. Try it and see!

And I don't mind you trying to put on me spot, but if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. But in this situation I hope to be right.

I'm really not trying to put you on the spot, I was just having a little fun. I never believe myself to be without error, as God has a way of humbling us all. Maybe something isn't working right for me, I don't know.
I did try it with and without the 108 MB (March Madness Edition Bracket pack) download, and I didn't notice a difference at all. I tried several teams and different arenas. What I saw were blue NCAA logos on the courts, the 2009 Final Four at Ford Field with the final four logo in the middle of the court.
Are you playing the one that you pay for? (the stand-alone version). Just want to make sure we're on the same page. If not, what can I look at in particular in the game after the 108 MB download? Did you notice any roster ratings changes? What are the jerseys you noticed that are different? Are there added stadiums (not just logo changes) on yours? Thanks, brotha.

Sorry man, I really don't know the answer to that one. PS3 was supposed to get it too, but no one that has a PS3 version has stated that they have it. Glad I went with the 360 version this time (I have a PS3 also).

Hit me up on Live (DrUrsus) and you can get them from me.

BehindTHeShadows, I knew you had the retail game since you have posted a lot about the game and started making rosters. I just thought maybe you bought the March Madness edition since you're hardcore, lol. Nevermind, since you don't answer my questions, I won't direct anymore at ya, lol.

PS3 bracket pack is available in the Playstation Store. Once you download and install it - selecting start new tournament and the default is the correct pairings for the current tournament (No play-in game - it includes Morehead St, rather than Alabama St., to play Louisville by default) What is still unclear, at least to me, is how to access the new modified rosters. Anyone else have any luck??

You're welcome. Yes, they are very good. Props to Jason2112 for those rosters, I just fixed some of the rotations.

My Gophers just couldn't handle the great three point shooting of the Texas guards tonight. I didn't think they would win, but you can always have hope. I will root for Dayton tomorrow now. My wife's grandfather played for them long long time ago, back when everyone was white and they wore the real short shorts, lol. Dan Patrick of Sportscenter fame went there as well (and I think played there too (basketball)). Chucky (John Gruden - Tampa Bay NFL Coach) went to school there too.

The 106mb is the March Madness Edition Add On! For the Retail Version. Not need to buy the 1200 M$ point one. When the MME add on is free for Retail Owners.

So yes I have the MME but as an add on and it's free
