CONSOLE SUPPORT

This roster is designed for the PS3, but works fine on the XBox 360 although player equipment will appear discolored. In order to avoid the equipment issue, 360 users can download the 360 port by tinpanalley. Note that his port is separately maintained; therefore, updates posted in this thread may not be reflected in the 360 version.

CREATED TEAMS

Vegas and Winnipeg exist as created teams. The Jets players are on Atlanta's roster. Transfer them using the NHL 2K8 editor, or manually, like this:
1. TRADE its players to any other team.
2. CUT them from there (to free agency).
3. SIGN them as free agents to the created team.

There are also created teams with custom jerseys (Dallas, Nashville, Tampa).

END-OF-SEASON BONUS

The final update to these rosters added bonus Eastern and Western All-Star teams, full of 2018 draft prospects, just for fun. Note that the ratings for these players are long-term projections (except for the goalies, who are just rated to stop pucks). These would NOT be these players' ratings in next year's rosters.

I´ve found out that this roster works for XBOX 360 AS WELL.

Corrections: Demers from Florida to Pho/Ari, McGinn from Pho/Ari to Florida
Marian Hossa from Chicago to Free Agents

But this was all I found.....awesome work ..THANK YOU

Okay, Franchise issues should be fixed with the latest upload. Updates will be periodically edited into the first post from now on. If anyone runs into other glitches or oversights, I'll look into them.

It works like a charm on XBOX 360 too.
The only weird thing is , that all the teams have blue helmets and gloves =)
Can´t figure it out what the problem is. Funny stuff

Hi, "Blake"; the save file provided is only partial. What you have to do is FIRST go into the game and create your OWN save file using the default rosters. Then you have to REPLACE the files in YOUR save file with my files. It won't work if you try to load my files directly without doing this first.

I'll break it down:
1. Boot up the game.
2. In the main menu, go to ROSTERS > SAVE/LOAD > SAVE. Name the file whatever you want and save it.
3. Close the game and insert a USB drive into the PS3.
4. In the PS3 menu, go to GAME > SAVED DATA UTILITY and find the save you just created. Copy it to the USB drive.
5. Remove the USB drive, insert into your computer. Navigate to the save file on the USB drive (the path will be something like "PS3 > SAVEDATA > BLUS30044-100"). In this folder you'll see four files (ICON0, PARAM, PARAM.SFO and USR-DATA).
6. Open my save file in another window and drag the ICON0 and USR-DATA files over to replace your old ones.
7. Move USB drive back to the PS3. Go back to the SAVED DATA UTILITY and find your USB device. Highlight the save and press triangle > COPY to overwrite your old files.
8. Boot up the game and try to load this save under ROSTERS > SAVE/LOAD > LOAD. If you did it right it should work.

Let me know how it goes or if you have other problems.

NHL 2K8 froze on me while trying to load the player profile on start-up after I did all the steps.

That will happen if you overwrote your PROFILE save instead of a Roster save. They're different. Delete the corrupt profile (in the Saved Data Utility) to unfreeze the game, then try again, but make sure you go to ROSTERS > SAVE/LOAD at Step 2; never use OPTIONS > SAVE/LOAD for this; the options menu saves a profile, not a roster.

Everythings fine with the rosters. But I don‘t have a clue why the gloves and helmets remain blue!!??
That‘s so weird.
Do you edit in game or are you using an program??
But except of this....the rosters totally rock

The same blue helmet blue glove equipment is happening to some of my players as well on NHL16. I think it has something to do with it originally being a PS file and moving over to Xbox...or using NHL View. I can't pinpoint it. What's even funnier (well sort of) is that these same players have no heads! It's like NHL Sleepy Hollow on the ice...happened to a couple rookies- Charlie McAvoy and John Hayden. Bizarre!

Too bad I don't have an XBox, but last year I tried austrianredwing's XBox rosters on the PS3, and they were great except that the players all had YELLOW gloves. So it's definitely a console issue.

I have an idea for a possible fix, but I'd need a save file containing the DEFAULT rosters for the XBox version if anyone can provide me one. Even at that, my idea might not work at all.

By the way, is the goalie equipment messed up as well? For example, do Mike Smith and Crawford have black pads? What about player heads? For example, are Duclair, Simmonds and the Subbans (P.K. and Jordan) black?

What's even funnier (well sort of) is that these same players have no heads! It's like NHL Sleepy Hollow on the ice...

Yikes! Are you talking about my roster there or NHL16?

Headless guys are NHL16 on the 360...suffering through same goalie equipment issues on that as well. Can't edit them over.
